Amiibros -- which sites allow you to pre-order but don't charge you till the item ships? As a huge Earthbound fan, I'd love nothing more than to lock down a Ness pre-order as soon as they hit. He's the only Wave 4 amiibo I'm after.

If you pre-order at Gamestop, you can chose to pick it up in store and as long as you pay with a credit card, you won't be charged until you actually pick up the item(s)

Agreed completely, Azula. I don't care if every sealed amiibo ends up being worth triple value. I'm not going to get rid of them. I'm collecting for my personal enjoyment.

Your display is looking great, btw.

Just got back and so glad that amiibo preorders haven't gone up on Amazon yet! Now I will be sitting here for the rest of the day waiting for a chance at Toad. ;)

Dang, I toadally would've gotten the Captain Toad bundle. Wonder how much more the MP10 bundle will be. I imagine it won't be too much of a savings, like $5.
 
When do you expect pre orders for wave 4 to go up on Amazon? How was the gap between announcement and preorders with wave 3?

Also, do we know if there was any validity to the Toys R Us thing on the 15th that was rumored before?
 
I'm trying to make my avatar transparent but the background keeps coming up as white here on the forum. In PS, it shows transparent. I've saved as PNG, saved it as 120x120 pixels, but still white. I'm not too PS efficient. Can anyone help?

Same here :/ Haven't had a chance to grab Captain Toad yet but no interest in Mario Party.

This new line makes me think I need to finally buy Mario and Peach in case they get mothballed in favor of the lamer mario party kind. I don't htink I'm buying any of those but toad.

Official confirmation of a marth restock for America made me happy. Hopefully some villagers will come too.......

wave 4 hype though. Pacman may be the first smash amiibo I don't care about purchasing. I'll have to get the other 5, however.

Yeah I'm planning to only get Toad from the Super Mario line since functionally the others are the exact same. Already have Mario/Luigi/Peach/Yoshi, and as for Bowser I'm going to go for the Smash variant since I'd rather complete that set.

I had this exact problem. Shrink it to 100x120 or slightly smaller. I think what happens is because it's slightly bigger than the allowed size, Neogaf automatically shrinks it down to the correct size & that results in the white background.

Hmm, looks like we'll eventually get a Rosalina amiibo in the Super Mario line of amiibos since we see her in a different pose in that Mario Party 10 footage. This one better not be exclusive anywhere

They probably ran initial stock, considering they haven't emailed anyone yet I think it's safe to say they are receiving enough stock to fulfill the orders. (Unless Nintendo sends them less then they were expected.)

But considering Nintendo's comment on Marth's availability and B&H getting backorder's for them up. I assume that this is a sign that all Amiibo's are coming back in stock to meet demand.

Bad news for scalpers though. xD

I can only speak for myself, but my Little Mac and Mega Man orders still say "backordered," and my order hasn't been cancelled yet. I have noticed, though, that they no longer have estimated shipping dates on the individual product pages (they used to say February 2nd and January 20th, respectively, but they no longer say).
 
Ooooooh, it didn't occur to me how good the Marth restock is for those of us who had B&H orders. What if they're actually going to get fulfilled, maybe possible probably not but a chance of? :D

I think someone mentioned to me earlier today that it was shown in the Japanese Nintendo Direct. Basically, I'm expecting Americans to get fucked again today and have support be New 3DS XL exclusive which would be a shame because I'm planning on getting the FE amiibos and Codename Steam.

So many awesome news in one Direct, glad to see most of the amiibos I was waiting for in wave 4 and hopefully with no stock problems, I mean it can happen right?...RIGHT?

I'm guessing they'll announce it a couple months after the n3DS is out. They want to sell n3DSes and this is a fairly big feature to do so with. However, they also want to sell Amiibos, and being able to sell to regular 3DS owners is something that'll help to do that.
 
Whoa, is anyone still doing the amiibo light thing for avatars? I'm late to this one and would like it done for mine as well, it would be much appreciated :3
 
Has anybody used Gamestop with in-store pickup? I did it for Shulk and Ike and now I'm worried that something will happen based on stories about Best Buy.
