If Lucina and Robin dont get a downgrade like Ike did, then they ended up looking fine, can't really complain will get both, Ness and Pacman look amazing as expected, day 1. Wario looks kinda cheap and Charizard just looks plain bad :/

Oh, man, I think the amiibo game is really shooting up in terms of figurine quality -- all of Wave 4 and the Super Mario lineup look fantastic to me. I'm only interested in Ness, but all the figures look great. The Fire Emblem crew has especially benefited; they look leagues better than Marth (as a side note, I'm almost glad I haven't gotten into Fire Emblem yet; it's inevitable that I will, but for now I can avoid pulling my hair out over FE amiibo since I'm not attached to the characters).

I guess we may need duplicate charaters in order to save game data for each game. Can you temp save amiibo data to a console and transfer to the figure as needed when changing games?

I'm definitely preordering Lucina and Robin the second they go up. I'm on the fence about Ness. I don't really care but kinda want him just because I know he will be impossible to find later.

Sorry for the delay. Your avatar was actually tricky due to the picture's size. Basically, your original avatar is very compressed and has artifacts. Not only is the picture low quality, but it didn't fit the boards avatar ratio. So the first 2 Avatar's I made you are a higher definition version of your picture but fitting the 100x120 board ratio.

The next two are the new high definition picture, but not cropped to fit the 100x120 ratio. It won't fill out the avatar section all the way. But it's also under the 100x120 so it shouldn't compress and artifact like before (it only does that, if one of the dimensions is OVER the boards limits).

Maybe because Australia has been in the next day (Jan 15th) for a while now? Perhaps Japan/Asia, then Europe, then the Americas to follow suit?
Seeing that it's in the early afternoon in Australia I can't say I'm surprised. EU stores will probably open pre-orders soon as well.
Oops you are right. So yeah. Maybe everyone takes pre-orders on the 15th. They are just ahead of us a day.

Thank you for taking the time to do it! I went with the last one, but only because I like the frame! I might change it to 3 or 4 at some point.
I wonder if each time a game is released where it has to write onto the amiibo itself instead of read-only, Nintendo will do a new line of amiibo for said game/franchise. Mario Party 10 is the 2nd game that writes data onto the amiibo and we got a new line featuring characters from it.
Though I wonder how some parents will react when kids see the new Mario/Peach/Luigi/whoever & ask "But you already have that one, what makes this one different?". Guess if they knew, they could explain one could keep SSB data, while the other keeps MP10 data.

Well I get up at 530 am EST to get ready. Guess I will bring my laptop to class in case preorders come up.
Also I said I would only do the Smash line as a complete collection and then just pick up figures I like from the other series. I was worried I would cave as soon as a new lineup was announced. Fortunately, I was correct about that strategy and I will only be grabbing Toad from the new one. Wish they could have substituted Daisy in there and maybe went with Fire Suit Mario. Oh well just saved me money in the long run.
My 4 Amiibros should have got there Pits and Falcons today in the mail. Hope they made it safe and sound!

Updated OP and cut some of the fat from it so it looks a bit better.
I was considering getting two of Lucina, but then decided the extra money would be better spent on the Figma.

I ordered one of those myself. You can never have enough of Lucina.
Basically. If there's a better figure of a character I pretty much lose all interest in their amiibo. Code Name STEAM may be her saving grace though...
Man I'd love to get her Figma, but that's a slippery slope I don't want to start going down.
If I'm still interested in the whole figure thing after amiibo I'll probably pick it up then. So long as the price stays the same, anyways...

When you really think about it, it's kind of messed up. They should be able to handle more than one game! We'll buy them either way, if you're worried about that. What do they have, 256KBs of storage?!?!
The Mario characters from both sets aren't game specific, its just that they can only store data for 1 game at a time. Wouldn't be surprised to see Smash Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser get phased out shortly after the new line's release to avoid confusion.
Unrelated, but Smash only has 13 more characters left assuming Miis and variants aren't happening. (14 with Mewtwo) I wonder if we will see them arrive in one wave or two. Assuming they come all at once, I can imagine some would be retailer exclusive.
