The Mario characters from both sets aren't game specific, its just that they can only store data for 1 game at a time. Wouldn't be surprised to see Smash Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser get phased out shortly after the new line's release to avoid confusion.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if eventually the SSB Mario was discontinued & they made the "Super Mario" line version the universal one for said character. But like, if we got a new Animal Crossing, you know they'll probably make a new version of the Villager and say it's part of the Animal Crossing line instead of the SSB one despite both working on each other.

Or maybe, more likely, SSB was just a special case due to how many characters/franchises were in it & afterwards, they'll just do a line based on franchises (Mario, Zelda, Kirby, etc.) instead of a specific game and those will be considered the "universal" amiibo for that character. No "Mario Kart" Mario or "Mario Tennis" Luigi or whatever when it'd be simpler & cheaper to just have one version and say it's from this main series/franchise.

They tend to after they sell out, yes. A lot of the Nintendo characters have been popular enough for reprints, so it MAY be okay to wait... but a bunch of Nintendo figmas have NOT gotten reprints. For example, Pit and Dark Pit are both super expensive now. It's a gamble.

Shipping is calculated when she's ready to go, and it can vary a lot depending on what kind of shipping you choose. If you just do something like SAL or Registered Air Mail packages can take a bit to arrive, but quite cheap. EMS can be pricey, but she'll will arrive within days.

IIRC when I ordered Lucina, you cannot directly ship the figma to the US. I tried shipping it here, I got a pop up saying its not eligible to be shipped to the US. I might be due to licensing with Nintendo, so its not allowed. So you need to ship it to someone in Japan and have indirectly ship it.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I placed the order a couple months ago so I don't remember exactly the pop up I got was or it might have changed. Worth checking.

Heck, Pokemon already is a card game, just say they're special Wii U versions that also work on Pokemon *title of game here*.

For EU, yes. It's just US that's "Spring", though if Japan's getting it late April as well (29th to be exact), then I'm guessing we'll get it late April or early May.

Yeah, my payment method is Paypal on there, and they don't charge me until they get the item and can confirm that they can fulfill the order. Then they just ask you to pay the full total with calculated shipping, which is covered with the discounted price they sell them for.

Of those, Figma Samus and Nendo Toon Link is still preatty cheap.

And, huh, I never knew about the Snake figma, I had one nendo preordered, but not the figma I can still order that one and sell it for about 84 plus taxes, but preorder are closed oficialy so it depends in any extra stock they might get.

I was already a collector but more in the hoarding sense. Made a thread on it a few months back. But I'd like to say that I've actually turned that around quite a bit thanks to amiibo! Wanted to display them somewhere they'd look nice. That somewhere was my shelves which were, at the time, packed with cheap trinkets, knick-knacks, and all around trash. (Quite literally, lots of candy wrappers I kept for cool designs...)

I've managed to throw out tons of trash, and get a clean room again. It's great.

I can safely say the figma Link and Samus are extremely fun and the Nendo Link is cute as heck. There's also Nendo Red, but he sold out preeetty fast. The best part is that most of these can be bought domestically right now so you don't HAVE to import if you don't want to. I think even friggin' K-Mart's website has them.
