Are you positive the alert was for in stock status? It could have been notifying you that simply it changed status to discontinued...

Please don't let preorder come up like Rosalina amiibo. I'm trying to complete the Smash Series and that it for completing amiibo sets. Anything else is just whenever I can walk and grab in a store when I have nothing better to buy. But then what happens when Toad has low stock supplies...

Just preordered wave 4 at ebgames, I was told they will come out at the 27th of March. Ness and pacman will be the rarest, the whole shop is only getting 2 of them each apparently

Is Xenoblade for the 3DS gonna have Shulk amiibo support? With the new 3DS coming out I'm excited in getting more use out of my amiibos.

I'm so glad that Nintendo confirmed that different incarnations of a same character will be also considered the same at the software level. That was something that was bothering me from the very beginning.
Now we can just buy an overlapping character from whichever amiibo series and not have to worry about compatibility with specific games.

I'll probably bite on an Amiibo once I get the n3DS. I don't want to get many of them, right now probably just Smash Link and Luigi from the Mario set. It'd be cool to fight a training character here on there and maybe get more extras in the future. I feel like those are two reliable characters I can count on to get some stuff in future games.

I kinda dislike the red bases but the MP Bowser looks more 'classic', I might get superrr OCD about the bases though.
They both look great, tempted to double dip but I'm not a huge Bowser fan and have the large Jakks figure already. I'm most likely going to stick with the Smash one, will decide when I get him in-hand.

I've bought a lot of the Nintendo figures that have released in Japan & the US thus far but I'm kicking myself for missing out on a few that have become stupidly pricey (like the D-Arts Charizard).
I'm psyched for some of the new Figma that have been announced though! Lucina, Young Link, & Zero Suit Samus are all in the works.
If anyone's interested, I've actually dedicated part of my new amiibo site to other Nintendo action figures & toys - D-Arts, Figma, Nendoroid, SH Figuarts, & the World of Nintendo line from Jakks Pacific.

They said April 2nd in the Nintendo Direct.
one of the best news from the Direct was the confirmation that the different versions of the same characters works in the same way, so I'll stick with my Smash Mario without any issue in terms of games where to use it!

I wonder if the Super Mario series means the Smash Bros. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser figured will get discontinued. Doesn't make sense for Nintendo to split their shelf space between two sets of functionality identical figures.
