When you say Pay Pal, is your Bank Account tied directly to Pay Pal? Mine is, so it basically pulls money directly from my Bank.
When I ordered Wave 3 exclusives from Nin-Nin last week, I checked out using my Pay Pal (w/ my bank) and they didn't charge right away. They waited a week later and then finally charged me. I put an order in for Lucina and Ness just now, and no charge.
Oh well. Like I said, if they do decide to charge me, it will just get rejected. I wish Nin-Nin allowed you to edit your orders. Their customer service and site sucks. Funny thing is, I have my bank card on me. Could have just done that. But figured going through Pay Pal is quicker (since I have it already saved there). That was a mistake.
My guess is, they will try to charge, it will get rejected. They will then try to contact me. Maybe then, I can get them to change my billing on it. Sigh. NIN-NIN why you got to be so difficult.

nin nin didn't have WFT OOS for a long while and generally has been slow to go out of stock of rarer amiibos. I'm almost certain every wave 4 amiibo will still be up for pre-order by the time they go up for pre order in the US-hell, they'll probably still be up for pre-order when they go out of stock here too.

I'm surprised they got back to me so soon though, since I e-mailed them seeing how tocancel orders, since it doesn't show it on the order page. they just e-mailed me back after like 20mins saying what to do
well mine wasn't really cancel. it was more just changing payments, but i assume it might work same way?
they just told me to do a "re-order" and they'll debit the account back

Don't know why its different for both of us. On the one hand, I'm okay with the Wave 3 Exclusives order I placed last week. They charged me. I'm glad.
But this new order is going to be problematic. *shrugs* Kind of funny they got back to you so quickly. In the past, it's taken them a day to get back to me. Just going to wait for them to contact me and say the order was rejected, then I'll see if they will let me pay with my card over the Pay Pal, so they don't charge until they ship.
When I ordered my JP 3DS through them, they took an extra couple of days shipping it, then told me that it might be an extra few days (on top of already being late). Since their shipping cost so much, especially since I paid a lot to get it in time for Smash and no longer seemed to be getting it in time, I was pissed and wanted to just cancel my order, and they told me the whole 10% bullshit. Then they randomly told me it'd be shipping out that day shortly afterwards. They're not the worst site, but they certainly aren't a site I'd want to deal with for canceling an order.
They already sound like a mess. Why the fuck would they push a 10% cancel fee, on pre-orders. These Amiibos won't be out till March? April? Lol these are simple pre-orders, and in order to cancel they want 10%?
What a joke. It sucks to hear they are slow. I'm not expecting my Rosalina/Shulk/Meta/Lucario first week of Feb then (even though I've been charged). But as long as I do actually get them, it's fine having to wait. I just ordered them because I had no pre-order in the US, and was worried I wouldn't be able to get them at all. So it was more so a precaution.
the fact that they don't even have a cancel button in our order history when you preorder something tells me that right away lol

Their site is pretty shit. No cancel button in my orders sectiton. You have to email them just to cancel (and they want 10% fee for cancelling, even if it's a pre-order and they haven't charged you yet).
Then the site itself doesn't even have a section to update your billing. Oh boy. That said, everyone on r/amiibo claims they are a legit site, and have come through on all past Amiibo orders. So it just seems the site is run kind of poorly (slow shipping sometimes, BS cancellation stuff, janky ass site).
A lot of Japanese import sites (particularly if they are actually based in Japan) are super particular about cancellations. A lot of sites won't even let you cancel (like amiami) and will just flat out ban your account if you do. I think one of the most lenient ones I've seen let you cancel a week after the order was made. lol (and don't even get me started on how ban happy Japanese lolita brands can be) The "restocking" fee is probably just more of a general cancellation deterrent than anything.
Kierwynn had done the nicest thing for me. After hearing all the bullshit I've gone through, she felt bad for what had happened to me, so she's going to send over her Pit Amiibo, free of charge.

"The Buyer may cancel an order or pre-orde. Any pre-order may be cancelled at no cost until 7 days before the release of the pre-ordered product. ""
Ah okay. Must just be a thing then. I still don't like how the site is set up though. It's a lot of hassle just to get orders edited etc.
Well that's just amazing. I'm totally going to hook her up with a Marth free of charge if she still can't find one by next month (or whenever the re-stock is).
They might not be as slow with you because yours are pre-orders, meaning they might get and ship them out earlier. I'm planning on ordering something through them again because I got a decent voucher (~$5 off any order) with my 3DS purchase from them, but they're kind of a hassle to deal with. The whole having some things in Euros and some in Yen, difficulty cancelling orders/bad customer service, slow (and expensive) delivery, and having to call my bank/mastercard afterwards to use my card again (though that probably wasn't their fault) makes me second guess buying things from them.
Ah okay. Probably being harsher than I should have been. I still think the site is a mess. But I'll keep my fingers crossed! If they ship out my Exclusive Wave 3's before Feb 1st, then it will relieve so much stress (since those are the only 4 I don't have pre-orders for).
The rest would then be a breeze then.

I collect a lot of scale figures, and it sucks cause a lot of times if you don't preorder, you won't get it, but if you're iffy about it you can't like preorder until you make you decision- you're either locked in or you miss out.

Tbh I canceled with amiami 5-6 times. You just have to be polite and explain the situation. Sh*t happens and they were nice enough.

I wonder why others have been able to order in the past. I've always had trouble with toys/games on Amazon.jp and Amazon.de.
They won't ship to my US address, only Blu Ray/DVDs. I know on amazon.jp they have a thing with games/toys and international addresses for some reason. Grrr.

It's cool. Just seems like a crapshoot with this sort of thing. I've heard of other people being able to order on Amazon.de (even you have ordered in the past). No idea why they restrict some things, and not others.
It's weird that I had no payment problems using Amazon.de but am having issues with Amazon.fr.

I actually think Shulk was sold out. I noticed the page says Feb 20th. Whereas the others say Feb 2nd or whatever. So I'm assuming the Shulk pre orders were delayed ones. I was able to order Lucario and have it sent to my address.
I also just bought Marth off Amazon.de for an Amiigal on here that needed him.
Edit: nvm looks like Shulks release is Feb 20th after all. No idea why I couldn't get it to ship to my place then. Only one I couldn't.
