I've got the Smash Amiibos for Mario, Luigi and Link. Rosalina is coming next week and Sonic next month. Pre-ordered Lucina and the Classic Peach one today, thanks to this thread.

I'm hoping to get Zelda and Shulk as well at one point. Also considering getting the Classic Luigi, by virtue of how much better it looks compared to his Smash counterpart.

Just came back from shopping with my girlfriend. Decided to go check at TRU to see if they had anything interesting. The employee came to talk to me and told me :



  • They will receive Mario 2.0, Peach 2.0, Luigi 2.0 next week and they will be sold for 5.99$ each. Since he told me they announced them this week I'm pretty sure he was talking about the Super Mario Amiibo Line but there's no way they are getting them next week.

  • They will stop selling ALL Amiibo in March because they are all being discontinued and replaced by cards.

I didn't want to waste my time arguing with him because I felt like he was so proud to tell me that. Oh well.

$5.99 for the Mario Party amiibo!?!?!? I can't believe they are that cheap... I hope it is true though.

LOL discontinuing the entire lineup in favor of cards? Sure... We've heard about the card thing, but there is way too much money to be made off the figures. He's full of it.
 
Ok, cool, called my bank earlier today to let them know an International charge should be coming in. And after checking my account right now their is a hold from Amazon EU, and now my Rosalina order from Amazon France is in the prepping phase. Hopefully it ships without another problem.
 
I have been keeping up with the thread for a few weeks now and I just wanted to say hi. I'm from Canada and would own the entire collection if my wife wouldn't kill me. I have marth, link, Zelda and Mario. It seems like there are a lot awesome people here and I look forward to continue reading.

There's....so much wrong that he told you, I'm kind of amazed. I want to believe $6 for amiibo, but that's 1/2 the price of the SSB line & they'd have to be a lot smaller/cheaper quality for that to happen.

Not bad. Half the price of the other line. I think I'll pick up a couple then.
But I kind of doubt this considering pretty much everything else said was wrong.

Unless they make smaller Amiibo, I don't think it's going to happen. They make way too much money with the current price.

Sounds like he fed you a bunch of garbage. I can't imagine line 2 being that cheap, or the current Amiibos all be discontinued that soon.

I added him to my cart and got to the submit order page but I didn't need him, was just curious if it would actually go through.

The worst part is that he told me the Super Mario Line Amiibo were useless because they had the same functionalities than the Super Smash Bros Amiibo. -_-

Yeah, that Toad one is useless, AMIRIGHT?!

Seriously, wow. It's fine to tell people if they have the same functionality, but maybe someone wants that Mario over the SSB one, or wants two so one person can have it for SSB & then another for Mario Party 10 or whatever.

Man reading through this thread made me feel like I'm getting ripped off ordering from nin-nin games but unfortunately it was the only place I can find that had both meta knight and lucario. Also, some of you guys/gals are real cool giving away amiibos for free or selling for retail price. Maybe I should grab a rare amiibo if I can and help you guys/gals out sometime.

Aww, No problem! I was planning to buy it for you and shipping it to you for free since you have done a lot for us during Smash POTD Thread. Translations, etc.

Hopefully I would get lucky with Pit so we will see!

How can I get Amazon Japan to ship to me? Also, I'm trying to log into my Amazon account on the Japanese site but it won't let me :(
