He admitted to burning the tapes before Congress.
I'm all set with championing Arlen Specter.

Tom Brady just laughed the whole thing off. It does seem rather ridiculous, and if you watched the game you'd know NE was lightyears better.
Patriots cheat so often you have to wonder how many times have they gotten away with it without us noticing.
The Pats are 84-28 since "spygate" and people still think they just cheated their way to all those victories. They've been a good team for years. Stop grasping at straws.
I'm a Giant fan btw, so I couldn't give two shits about who wins at this point.
Sure but his phrasing carefully contains no actual denial. Go read it again.
Not saying they cheated but Brady doesn't actually deny the specific accusation. I found that interesting.
I'm not much of a sports fan so can someone can this to me? Don't the refs bring out which football is used in every play? If so, would the refs be cheating in cahoots with the Pats if they were indeed using inflated footballs?

No. He implied the accusation was stupid and it's not worth his time to respond to people who think that. This is insane conspiracy theorizing on your part.
I've never denied robbing a bank. Does that mean I have?
That's their schtick since spygate. Never deny the substance of the cheating, but treat it like its a joke with little consequence on the game or treat it like a distraction that only conspiracy nutters pay attention to.
It isn't a "conspiracy." It's not some crazy nut's fantasy. The commissioner of the NFL admitted to seeing and destroying tapes and notes related to a HUGE scandal. Punishments were levied by the league.
Look at the Ray Rice scandal, and tell me that this is a league that you believe administers discipline in good faith and honesty. In this case, there was even more at stake in terms of the integrity of the league and the reputation of revered figures and one of the leagues most valuable franchises.
At least the Pats didn't field a murderer at tight end though so that's progress.

They cut him before the controversy would unearth more skeletons in their closet.

Changing eligibility status is a substitution. In the rulebook the penalty for not announcing eligibility to a referee:
Loss of 5 yards for illegal SUBSITUTION.
Have you robbed a bank?
Wow, that's ridiculous. I think I've heard it all at this point.

Except Patriots have a murderer AND cheat.Patriots fans : Cheating Accusations ::
Ravens fans : Ray Lewis Murder Accusations
There was a penalty called on the Pats last night because one of the players did not announce eligibility to the ref. The penalty was illegal FORMATION, not substitution.
Wow, that's ridiculous. I think I've heard it all at this point.
I feel sad that the NFL still wants us to revere and look on the Pats and their records as if they were clean.
The Pats participated in a systematic, illegal taping scandal that coincides with their most successful period in franchise history.
I don't care if the Pats are a great team without the cheating. They are tainted. We should look back in skepticism and in some ways disgust at how we dubbed this franchise "the gold standard."
I was trying to see if the optimum response was yes/no. And Brady would be responding to accusations that he had in fact"robbed a bank." You don't actually think I was asking the question seriously?
Don Shula, the leagues greatest coach of all time, has publicly condemned your franchises cheating. Not all franchises were cheating. Just the ones with no class.Every team in the league was doing that at the time. This is common knowledge, only fanboys and haters spew the nonsense you're talking about.
The patriots are one of the greatest football teams to ever exist and they have done very well season after season since 2004. Your beloved Sea Hawks are taking an L this time around.
I don't even respond to stuff like this.
Don Shula, the leagues greatest coach of all time, and a hyprocrite, has publicly condemned your franchises cheating. Not all franchises were cheating. Just the ones with no ethics.
wiki said:1982 AFC Championship Cheating Controversy
In the 1982 AFC Championship game, the Miami Dolphins came out victorious over the New York Jets. Controversy came from then-Jets head coach Walt Michaels, who was upset prior to the game with Don Shula and the Dolphins' decision to not cover the Orange Bowl field. Saying the field conditions were less than ideal is a huge understatement, as a January rain storm pummeled South Florida both the day before and the morning of the game. This resulted in a muddy field that had the side-effect of neutralizing the speed that the Jets had on offense. "The only thing I know is the rules," said Michaels. According to NFL rules, a game must be played under the best possible field conditions, which would've been the case had the Dolphins had a tarp to cover the field. They didn't, allowing the field to become muddy, hence the nickname given to the game, "The Mud Bowl."

Rain in south Florida is called Home field Advantage. Not close to the same thing and not a hypocrite in the slightest.
Shula is just as big of a fraud, and a lousy coach to go along with it. Wasted Marino's career.
Rain in south Florida is called Home field Advantage. Homefield is supposed to give you an unfair advantage. Not close to the same thing and not a hypocrite in the slightest.
Whoa, now....

what are people gonna be calling this now? deflategate?
What would The Patriots know about early success? It took you 30+ years and the invention of a rule mid game for you guys to get your first.I was talking about being the Miami Dolphins coach for a thousand years deluded what early successes he had.
Have you stopped beating your wife?I don't even respond to stuff like this.

Why not? It's a discussion about an nfl investigation of cheating of a team with a history of cheating, lying and evasive answers.
