Definitely hoping they still get the giant screen they used at LVH though. That was an amazing addition to the EVO experience.
how dare he complain after not entering last year even though he was there.Romance a bit salty on twitter about Persona getting in over KOF. I don't think he's played KOF in ages and I recall him not entering the game at Evo either, lol.
The ole' Smash 4 isn't melee so we're going to run both at evo.
This doesn't make any sense.
In delay-based netcode, there is a delay in your reactions. Rollback-based netcode isn't any different here. The only difference is that rollback-based netcode lets you master combos without having to worry about network lag. It's a total improvement.
So something I've been thinking about,
what if SFV copied KI and had "autos" (a chain system) and "manuals" (links)?

The method is already there to detect whether a normal in a combo counts as canceled or "linked", so what if SFV had a chain based system where linking the same moves instead of chaining them gave you bonuses? Perhaps ones more interesting than pure additional damage, even. More meter? Ultra meter (tiny bits) on offense? Crazy stuff tied to other new mechanics?
If you do your combos based on visual cues instead of muscle memory, like me, delay makes complex combos extremely hard to do.I hate the visual cluster fuck of rollback when it's bad. Having delay doesn't make combos harder. Combos are done the same.

One event having good attendance isn't really indicative of how well it's doing everywhere. .
Not willing to be outdone by his fellow comrades, NYC resident and super Terry fanboy Garou Mike decided to match BigEs $250 to the pot bonuses, on the condition that the number of entrants exceed 62, which is double the 31 entrants at Summer Jam.
Seeing this, fellow NYC player and KOF/Fatal Fury super fanboy Rome himself decided to follow suit and pledged $200 to the pot if the entrants reach 62.
The news of all the pot bonuses from KOF fans quickly snowballed overnight.
Dedicated NYC based streaming group Kick, Punch, Block (KPB) whose members consist of many long-time KOF fans including Meanestrage and Roddyness decided to add $300 to the pot. KPB has been supporting the east coast KOF community consistently in the past by streaming many of the past KOF tournaments and holding qualifier events for KOF majors.
SB2, an up and coming gaming venue based on the Bronx has pledged $100. The gaming lounge, in an effort lead by Galley the Pirate, has been pushing to include KOF XIII in its tournament and weekly casuals line up.
Together with Wyseguy, BigE, Garou Mike, Rome himself, KPB, and SB2′s contribution, the total bonus pot for KOF at NEC XV will be $2,100 IF the entrants exceed 62 players.
Ever since the news of Wyseguys $1000 bonus pot was released, the hype surrounding KOF at NEC XV is exploding fast, many players have already confirmed their intention to attend the event. Besides the usual KOF players on the East Coast, the hype has reached players across the country and beyond. Several players from CA, TX, CO, and Scotland have already confirmed their attendance or expressed strong interest in the event.
Since KOF at NEC XV will be a free-to-enter tournament, there is no excuse not to sign up."
So if you live on the East side of the US and or have played KOF, there is literally no reason to not enter the game, so get hype & bring the skills.
What would we even call that? Fighters History? Fighters Generations? M.U.G.E.N?
Free entry, pot bonuses from multiple sources and the goal was to get over 62 people. That is the actual state of kof in the country.
Oh! This explains it, I guess.Actually in this case it is...but not in the way, Sayad is interpreting it. The support for KOF at NEC was to make up for its lackluster turnout in other tournaments earlier in the year.

Sp00ky just said he is not interested in running Evo stream this year. Feels it's the type of thing you should only do 3 times and that is it.
So, who should Evo choose to stream Evo?
Maybe, Mondo?
Level Up Live?
Anyone else worthy of note to take over the main streaming duties?

What did Data East make?
EVO is still 3 days right? Or did it switch to 4?
Let Cameraman do it.
I really want to see a DDR tournament at EVO.
money probably wasn't good enough considering all the effort spooky has to put in.Sp00ky just said he is not interested in running Evo stream this year. Feels it's the type of thing you should only do 3 times and that is it.

Such a system wouldn't really work in SF, simply because the KI system has built around breakers being a way to get out of those chains. Take breakers out and it kinda just becomes 1v1 Marvel without the mobility.
The streams for EVO were handled jointly by Spooky/IPlayWinner, and Capcom ran their own stream last year, and others brought their own setup so I wouldn't even worry about it. West Coast has plenty of capable streamers.
Name a place and time and I'd be all over that. 5th mix or Max preferably.

Yuck, console DDR.Maybe I'm just a hipster casual but I always thought of Konamix as my DDR golden age

good one

If the rollback is bad, then the delay is going to be bad as well - why even play?
If the rollback is done right, like with Skullgirls, you get to choose how much delay you will accept before you deal with rollback. In 99% of my Skullgirls matches, 2 frames of delay was perfection, and I think that's reasonable when going from Michigan to CA.

You had to drop the money on a decent metal pad to really get anywhere, and those are not cheap. (Or even possible to find anymore.) I've probably spent more than I want to admit on controllers for Bemani games... at least the high-end controllers are generally built rather well (if only due to the abuse they need to take).I never could make the transition from arcade to home versions (or stepmania) because home pads were so awful.
Bally's is the split ballroom if its the same setup as last time they were there. It probably matches LVH after taking all rooms into account, but I'd imagine the main hall has to be smaller since its unlikely Bally's is hiding a new ballroom in the back somewhere. Who knows though, stranger things have happened.
Definitely hoping they still get the giant screen they used at LVH though. That was an amazing addition to the EVO experience.
