Zeppeli, Old Joseph and Kakyoin look alright in the new style, especially the latter.

Lisa Lisa is the stuff of nightmare though.
OG Manga Lisa Lisa looks like a man. Anime one is pretty cute.

Jojo Sono Chi no Kyoku full opening, youtube mirror, give it a listen!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56BCLxAFttI

Really love the instrumental part right after the firsts ora oras, they should have somehow include that in the OP.

The full song is better than the edited one used in the opening. Still the previuos openings are better

EDIT: What the fuck? why can't I stop listenning to this song?
This must be the work of an enemy stand!

If we got something like when Sono Chi no Sadame started playing at the end of the Kars battle it would be pretty fucking awesome.
Yeah the full song is epic, it's just the edited opening that was a bit lame. I had a feeling I'd like the full version of this song. Can't get the riff out of my head.

There are going to be some amazing moments that Joseph will start yelling Oh My God and Oh Shit again, wont spoil it but they are so good lol

You say this as if he were a boring fuddy as a teen

Like his grandfather
The dude's iconic for emptying a Tommy gun clip into a crowded restaurant we all know Joseph is a big unhinged, Old Man Joseph is nuts without the battle tactics of his younger self to make up for it. He's cool either way it's really funny what he aged into. My favorite one so far is when he's got Dan of Steels Stand in his head and he's freaking out in front of the tv. That and his binoculars getting shot to pieces.

Welcome to the crazy train. Keep us updated on your impressions :)

I kinda get that, except he's also written that way. Super stoic tough guy delinquent. Most of the enemies are legit intimidated once he gets his hands on them.

Yeah I think I might actually, although I'm gonna be THAT guy who's behind.

part 1

my favourite arc so far.
A lot of people found it boring but I REALLY dug the different pace.
the focus was clearly to set the groundwork of Jonathan and Dio's rivarly and I got really invested in the to and fro between them.
So much so, that when a fight happened, I was almost disappointed.

But when a fight happened it was succint, awesome and engaging.

The Zeppeli scene in particular was SO WELL DONE that when Roundabout started playing, you knew shit was going down.

One thing i liked was the running detail of Jonathan always got stronger everytime he was defeated. It was a nice way to flip the trope of "fight train fight power of friendship fight train fight" and just kept the pace consistent all the way through.

Part 2

I just finished the Santana fight episode and I'm losing a little bit of interest.
it's kinda resting back into typical monster of the week format but I understand that this series is like "the fighting" side of the Aztec coin to Part 1's character development.
I will say that Joseph is such a joy to watch.

Overall Thoughts

Even when it shifts into full shonen (i mean like all fights no development and yes I'm gonna get flak for that) mode, it's still such a freakin crazy ride to be on.
the dialogue is CONSISTENTLY funny and the show is dripping with style.
will keep watching.

I'll check back in after a few more eps.

I feel like Araki forgot how to draw characters with huge muscles. I think the last swole character he ever drew was in Part 5, which was cool because it kinda set him apart from other characters.

Oh don't worry, that'll pick right back up lol

Man, reading my quote again makes me realise how stuck up I must sound, like it's packed in with all of the world's eye rolls. haha

I just watched the next episode when Zeppeli's grandson is introduced and I can feel a single eyebrow raise in interest.

I get the feeling I'm going to be eating crow with those words in the space of a couple of episodes.

Added Thoughts: That fucking scene in the restaurant when Joseph tries to punk Caesar damn near killed me. I have no idea why but I thought the execution was so damn hilarious.
There needs to be a gif made of when Caesar reverses the prank coupled with a New Thread Nope.

He is fit and strong, just not a bodybuilder.

New Jotaro looks more of an athlete and that would be intimidating once he actually grabs someone.

Okay I don't wanna even get near a spoiler so this is vague but remember Jotaro has that famous hype line near the end of the series? The man who says that is not just a fit dude, those are the words of a complete boss. A man among manly men. That's his character through and through.

If you guys have a PS4, the Eyes of Heaven demo is out now. Just make a quick JP account and download it (then play on your normal account)

You might want to stay out of this thread considering this about Stardust Crusaders, Part 3 of the series, where any and all spoilers of Part 2 are allowed to be posted.

Be prepared for the greatest posing of our era.

I'm never really fussed about spoilers, I tend to more enjoy the ride a show takes me on.
(I breezed over the wiki and generally researched JoJo a year or two back)
Appreciate the heads up though!

AWWW SHIIIIT.

(To be fair, the fight with Esidisi on top of the spikes. So fabulous.)

He will always be AC/DC to me. The Wham fight is pretty good too. That shouldn't be a spoiler...we all know that one's coming.

Just used youtube doubler to check how the 90's OVA Final fight sounded like with Stand Proud and Sono Chi no Kyuku.

Stand Proud is great for the fight itself, but sono chi no kyuku seems better for the aftermath.

So based on this video (it's in Spanish), Sono Chi no Kioku's lyrics are so straightforward that it's kinda funny. It's basically "We fighting god stands now, this is the final battle, our heroes won't give up, ORA!"

The drawing of Polnareff in Boingo's comic always made me uncomfortable. Looks kind of like Nigel Thornberry after watching his whole family get slaughtered.

i accidentally went into the Jojo community thread thinking it was this one and i guess i spoiled a moment in Part 4 for me. Sigh. Whatever, just more incentive to keep up with this series.

We saw Ep. 28 on Crunchyroll and settled in to watch it.

It comes up in 320p and with Spanish subs.

The stands have some weird powers.

Esta debe ser la obra de un enemigo Soporte!

i WON'T be home for another 2 hours, thankfully not much comics to read for me this week (or is that sadly?), so I'll try to watch it before going to bed =3

There's a certain point in every JoJo fan's life where you encounter a large spoiler. That's the usual indication to start reading ahead to prevent further spoilers. That's what I did and I don't regret it at all!

If you saw what I think you saw its not really a big spoiler
don't worry
Also spoilers in the series don't really matter since how the spoiler happens is usually too nonsensical to explain without context

Stardust Crusaders (Egypt Arc) 28

There was a certain ominous feeling regarding Polnareff going on with the entire chapter, kept me at the edge of my seat.

A stand that posses users is an interesting twist, I wonder how they'll deal with it.

*Leaves Polnareff alone*

*returns*

"Hey Polnareff, why are you alone? We should always walk in pairs."

Joseph is going senile.
