GimR also has 4G so if the internet somehow isn't great we'll be fine. Internet is the least of our worries, the tournament itself running on time is much more important and is something to be concerned with.
 
Just got home, thinking that I missed out on a lot of good matches and then I got caught up on this thread. Holy shit.

Its a shame all this had to happen, but at the same time its great to see everyone pull though in the end. What ever doesn't Kill you right?

Looking forward to the Salty Suite tonight and for the tournament matches to finally start tomorrow.
 
What about Splatoon? I thought I heard it was gonna be shut down tomorrow as they couldn't move it to the new place?

I think Splatoon at Apex is done. I saw a twitter post an hour or two ago saying that they weren't going to move them, but I'm not positive if it was confirmed or not
 
Damn if they actually pull of fitting all of the planned events into this weekend, it's even more of a miracle than it already is. So happy for them that they managed to turn it around so quickly in the face of what seemed like a pretty inevitable failure. Hope they manage to achieve that goal, I can't even imagine how great this weekend will be if they are successful.

well yeah, that's why they didn't originally plan for one

surprised there wasn't a USA vs world battle or something though, something like Zero (yeah even if he's an honorary American at this point he's technically from Chile), Ally, Mr. R, Choco, Neitono would be scary in a 5v5

Edit: Also, Redbull wrote an article on it check it out (has images too). Should be noted this was written hours before Blur's tweet about no events are planned to be canceled.
 
This is probably the best story to come out of smash since the donation drive. Truly remarkable. I wish I was there, it would be fun to help out and set everything up.

@Pappasman: Pretty much how I've been feeling the entire day watching events unfold.
