Did you get your Rosalina from Amazon France before the expected date? Mine was today and I still haven't received it yet...
 
As of today there has been 25,746 completed amiibo auctions on eBay. That's a shitload of resold amiibo, especially when you consider that a ton of the auctions included multiple amiibo.

Hey man, no problem at all, just wish I coulda delivered. Like I said, if my timing was a little better I coulda got the last lucario at another location, but some lady literally beat me to it by a minute. The toon link I wasn't expecting to get, he's one of the few I really wanted so I'll be keeping that one for myself.

Idk if you saw earlier, but I posted about Meijers having placeholders out for all of wave 3 at some locations and one even had a sign saying they'd release on 2/3/15, so I'd say check out some local meijers if you can. I'll be going around Sunday morning possibly so I may be able to pick up some extra amiibos if you need something.

Well, Nintendo have sold almost 6 million worldwide, 25.746, even taking into account those sold in bulk, are a small amount in comparison.
 
Received our Wave 3 (Dedede, Ike, Sheik) package today, save for Mega Man and Meta Knight that will be next month. Next wave is pretty light. Pac-Man and Ness. Not a fan of the Robin model, or the biker Wario. Lucina and Charizard both have superior options for figures, so probably passing.

Welp, I just called my local TRU and they are all reserved for preorders.

I find it funny you have to buy the figures before they even come out here in the US for the more obscure characters.

Actually... that's like nothing when you consider how many have been sold.

In fact I'm amazed that its that low.

25,000 of nearly six million.
 
Man, I feel like an idiot for not preordering. I thought "It's best to buy instore, just to make sure I don't get one with paint defects" so I figured i'd wait for the day they come out, go to my local EB Games to see if they have it, if not, THAN buy it online.

Local EB did not have it, just checked Amazon.ca, and the ones I wanted are either sold out or skyrocketed in price :(
 
If quality is super high on your priority list, you're best off pre-ordering to be safe and secure in having one then scouting out stores later if they have stock. You could always return the pre-ordered one in place of the better looking one bought at retail.

Same here man, and we certainly aren't the only ones who didn't.

I'll be doing whatever I can to get a pre-order for wave 4, though that's not even a guarantee in some instances. But at least I'll be in better shape than I am right now with wave 3.

I thought mine was too, but I think it's some sort of optical illusion. I know that sounds like hogwash, but look at him from the side...mine appears perfectly straight. The other ones I saw were the same way.
 
Considering importing from Amazon Germany. How reliable are they? Or is there someone else I should consider first?

My cousin and I are considering importing together to save on shipping.

I imported a Marth from there and had zero issues. Took a few weeks to get to my house.

Hard to say. Nintendo doesn't confirm jack squat. I guess we'll know in a week or so if toys r us ever gets any more shipments ever.
 
So is Little Mac entirely in the hands of pure luck or scalpers now? Like, is there even an import option any more? Really, really hoping Entertainment Earth comes through, though it's looking more and more doubtful. Also really kicking myself for seeing him pop up those two times shortly after he came out on Gamestop and passing up the opportunity since I thought there was still a chance of finding him in person and I didn't want to get hit with the shipping cost. Bleh.

I had Little Mac in my cart at Play-Asia. Ummed and aahed for a few minutes about the purchase and by the time I had decided to pull the trigger he was gone. :(

Guessing its gonna be:
Shulk>Rosalina and Luma >Lucario>Meta Knight>Ike and Sheik>Dedede and Toon Link >Mega Man and Sonic >Bowser
 
I don't know why I thought Sonic and Mega Man would be super rare. I guess it's the guest character thing?

And has anyone had issues with Wal-Mart keeping to their pre-orders?

It's not perfectly straight when I look from the sides but I guess judging from the feet placement it's suppose to be a like that? Either way I'm just glad I was able to get one.
 
Honestly, all I want is for nintendo to issue monthly press releases with the status of amiibo. Let us know which ones are gone for good, which ones are short in supply (but more are coming!), and which ones are readily available. I'd like to know when i can give up or if I should remain hopeful.

That's what would kick scalpers in the butt - knowledge that more are on the way. If it's a mystery, they can profit from the panic.

That said, if certain amiibo are truly gone for good, then scalpers can jack up the prices even higher.
 
Seeing the cluseterfuck that is Lucario, I might start pre ordering now. But I don't really know who the most trusted store is or which place has the best shipping and least likely chance to destroy the box.


I'm legit shook now that I might not find Ike or Dedede in the wild now
