Seeing the cluseterfuck that is Lucario, I might start pre ordering now. But I don't really know who the most trusted store is or which place has the best shipping and least likely chance to destroy the box.

In-store gamestop has delivered 100% quality amiibo to me. They even let me pick which one out of the 2-3 they got to see which one has the least amount of defects.

Somewhat related, but I also just got an Email from Fry's about my Majora's Mask New 3DS preorder being cancelled. Nintendo pls :I

Edit: The system, not the game. My LE preorder for the game on Best Buy is still good it seems.

Only somewhat related to Amiibos, but still relevant. :I Fuck me, this and the LE of the game were the things I absolutely wanted.

Talked to my local Target and things sounds good! Spoke to a manager and explained how people at other stores were buying up the exclusives and wanted to make sure if there was a lineup if I could get a chance. He said that Target doesn't typically limit purchases, but in cases like exclusive like that, they wouldn't let one person buy them all up in a line.

Got him to check the DCPI and sounds like they have a good amount coming in (I know he wouldn't get an exact amount).

I could see them being rare. We're talking about guest characters that are owned by different companies so I'm guessing Nintendo could only make a limited run of them. I worry about the availability of Mega Man and Sonic since their release dates have been pushed back to 2/20.

Part of me wants to think that, though I only pre-ordered Sonic because I wanted him. Considering he's rather popular, I don't THINK he'd be hard to find. Mega Man might be a bit tougher, but probably as uncommon.

Granted, Nintendo might only be allowed to make so many or for so long while they have the rights to said characters.

I sent em a couple of question emails a week ago about when I will get my amiibos and still no response thus far, are they a legit company?

Legit company but fucking terribad customer service and sluggish shipping. I bought my 3DS from them. Use them sometimes, cause they have good deals occasionally (though their shipping prices often cancel that out), buy don't buy from them if:
-You have any chance of cancelling your order (it'll be a hassle plus they try to charge 10%)
-You care about getting something in a timely manner

If you threaten to cancel they might speed up your order. They did for my 3DS lol. But I haven't actually went through with cancelling, so I don't know how the actual process would be.

This made me feel somewhat better as I order Lucario and Meta knight a while ago and never received when it would ship. Fortunately they never charge me yet and I can definitely wait as long as my order arrived. Was starting to worry they may just take my money and not ship anything out.

Honestly, all I want is for nintendo to issue monthly press releases with the status of amiibo. Let us know which ones are gone for good, which ones are short in supply (but more are coming!), and which ones are readily available. I'd like to know when i can give up or if I should remain hopeful.

That's what would kick scalpers in the butt - knowledge that more are on the way. If it's a mystery, they can profit from the panic.

That said, if certain amiibo are truly gone for good, then scalpers can jack up the prices even higher.

I don't think any Amiibo that has a possibility of being used ever for anything will ever be gone for good. So, basically, you can make an educated guess on who or what is going to be restocked.

Marth, Ike, Lucina, and Robin will be reprinted/printed more and in high supply with STEAM.

Any game that comes later, as STEAM would indicate, will see reprints of the limited run ones that, at the same time, make no sense to cast in some new pose and have to make new casts for etc.

Basically, what I am saying is that the NDs will serve as just what you want, lol.

Wow. Futureshop here in Canada had a bunch up for presale again just this morning. Not that would help you. Just surprised there seems to be such confusion in retail with what their actual stock is.

Then again...Nintendo.

I don't think any Amiibo that has a possibility of being used ever for anything will ever be gone for good. So, basically, you can make an educated guess on who or what is going to be restocked.

I'm guessing he didn't want to check. I was looking to see if they had Sheik, Bowser, etc. He's like "there's a Rosalina tag is she new too? We're getting 12 in so call early and we'll hold one for you".

Welp, went to Frys Electronics on my lunch break today looking for a Toon Link. There were a million Bowsers and one Sheik. I wasn't planning on getting Sheik, but she's cooler than Zelda so I bought it.
