Aww, that's unfortunate but understandable, I was hoping to see more of that (outside the Japanese Splatoon stream).

I completely agree personally. And I've come to realize I vastly prefer longer stocks like in Smash 4

I can go either way with the long stocks. Longer stocks certainly have certain technical advantages, but shorter ones make it feel like more of an "anyone's game" situation, which is also exciting to watch.
