Your argument doesn't seem to suggest that fundamental movement is different, but rather more or less options between SFs. Smash 4 and Brawl options are gone because movement is fundamentally different.

A close friend of mine is usually in top 10 of AZ for a lot of fighting games and he says he wouldn't consider the jump between Melee and Brawl to anything he has seen in other fighting games, says the closest is SFA3 to future SF titles, but even that is more similar.

I'll talk to him more and see if I can get him to explain it in SF terms so I can be more knowledgable next time I try the example.

The movement and pacing in SF are vastly different. And I can name a game that is a bigger change from melee to brawl. MvC1 to MvC2.

Melee isn't some special game. Its just a different game from the same series. People play what they want. I have no idea what you are trying to argue outside "melee is a spcial game". Yeah and so what?

This would never happen at EVO.

The thing is it was slightly avoidable if they had made the non-Finals sets Bo3 and disallowed coaching. I mean they were already extremely behind schedule but they could have been LESS SO had they done those two things and why they allowed Bo5 is beyond me.

I think coaching should be allowed, but when tournaments need to end ASAP, I agree, cut it, give them 15 seconds between matches at most.

Armada can meditate in that amount of time, it's plenty

Overall I love coaching. It's the best way to give new players support in their pools.

Because I concede on my other argument until I get the correct information since I AM ignorant on SF and would rather wait until my argument can be proofread ("essentially") by competitive SF players that also play Smash.
