Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

Someone wanna break down for me how much it costs a US citizen to import from each Amazon that's doing preorders? I stubbornly ignored the one that was just up so if france or w/e goes up before US I wanna know which ones I should preorder.

I can say with much confidence de will have a limit per account. They have it now all on Amiibo. Try it.

UK uses British pounds which is bad for US dollars. The others use Euros which is decent or good. So if UK costs $20+ per Amiibo, the others should be $15-20 each. In other words, DONT THINK, JUST BUY

Sure, but was Rosie all up in your face 24/7 and being praised as the best thing ever? Nope.

I'll take Rosie any day over Elsa. Besides, Rosie does just fine for how the Mario world is set up (really, most of the characters in Mario are shallow).

What can I say? She's a cheap Mary Sue that was introduced to an established franchise as the better version with a cooler backstory of the long since established female cast. All hail the perfect magic space queen!

Amazon UK seemed much cheaper for shipping though. Flat rate $13 no matter how much you buy. I'd have to say in the end it about evens out.

BTW. What is everyone naming their Rosalina amiibos? I originally named her just Rosalina last night but figured most would do that so I went with Rosetta (her Japanese name) instead

If you want to get technical, Elsa was in development since 1940, so...

But I mean, they're both good. Elsa's freeze power is useful in Infinity.

Anna went from "hey sister, wanna play?" to "oh my god, I need a prince!" in like less than 5 minutes (and I'm not talking about the montage, she was still calling for Elsa as an adult), c'mon now. Elsa wasn't all that better with her "emo" style, but still...

Yeah but Rosie is good for what she is. Nintendo has very flawed/shallow characters, since plot has never been a thing in that universe. Elsa, has an entire movie propped up on her character which is shallow. Other characters in her own movie are better. And that's not even getting into the awful marketing that was behind that character and people pushing her like the most progressive female character to ever be written.

She is terrible through and through.

Don't get me wrong, Anna is awful too. But still better than Elsa.

Though ultimately this can be the cheapest importing option, especially if you do a trial of Prime.

Still, not worth the hassle for me personally. I'd rather just pay the extra couple bucks per amiibo.

So Wave 4 is only 6 characters? How many amiibos waves and total count do we have then? (Not counting that Mario Party Line)

From fans? Yeah about the same. Disney is just more popular so if you aren't a part of that fandom it is more obvious.

And your point about Mario characters being shallow is kind of the point. She was just popped into an established franchise and made better then the cast that was already there by not being as shallow and having an actual backstory to her.

I'm as much a fan of Frozen characters as I am of Rosalina. As in they are both all right and have fans that get overzealous if you imply that either of them may not be the best magical queen.

Don't really know how to respond to this. Seems the only comeback is a "no u" so I feel like I should have just ignored it.
But honestly I'm just happy to be talking to people in this thread instead of crying over my bad amiibo luck. :3
 
Did I see that someone needs a WFT? I have two sealed UK versions - happy to sell to Amiibros for £15 delivered anywhere in the UK.
