Persona 5 New Trailer

Never played Persona, but this trailer got me interested.
Which one should I play? How is it? Is the gameplay any good?
I own a PS3 and a PS4, so I can't play any Vita title.

Honestly, p5 is why I was sticking with the ps3. Once I am done with kh 2.5, my ps3 is going straight into the trashcan.

I want to play this game with the best possible graphics.
 
We have guns and swords. Demons. And it looks stylish as hell. Yep, I'm super excited for this. I'm not expecting a fancy PS4 version so I'll buy the PS3 version.

Persona 3 FES is the better of the two Persona games you have a available to you.

Persona 1 and 2 (Both parts of 2) are pretty much your typical JRPGs with demons. Think of them as more mature Pokémon games. As for Persona 3 and 4 they are basically the same thing but with social elements added like hanging out with your in-game friends and things like that.

Persona 1 and 2 are both pretty dated in my opinion. But I highly recommend playing Persona 3 and 4, everyone I have recommended them to have loved those games immensly.
 
Persona 4 Arena Fan here.

The trailer look really really good, and the art style look great too. I'm a huge fan of jrpg genre but I was turned off by Persona 2 when I was young. Lately, I have been reconsidering to give Persona franchise a shot so I want to know which version should I go for Persona 3 and 4? Should I play Persona 1 and 2 or just completely skip them?

Never get rid of old consoles. There will always be that special time when you really want to replay a game exclusive to them but can't.
 
I'm still confused as fuck about this trailer but that was beautiful!

Would be great. Always found it funny the stupidity the demons would put the player through, but actual recruitment could be cool.

Hmm, yeah. I don't know how I'm going to accept that thing as "Zero" once I get around to playing Virtue's Last Reward. Or are you referencing something else?
 
After the huge success of 3 and 4, I had no idea how or if they would differentiate 5 from those games

Everything about this trailer, from the art, the music and the gameplay, just completely subverted my expectations as to what a P5 would be.

It just looks so different, so unique. How is that even possible.

I want to play this. So bad.

All the Persona games are on PSN so you can download and play them on your PS3. Persona 3 is where the modern series starts and it will give you an idea where the series is heading with 5. Persona 3 is a little rough around the edges gameplay wise though. Persona 4 is an improvement in almost every way but there are arguments that Persona 3's story is better. I'd say start with 3 and if you are annoyed by the gameplay there is no shame is doing Persona 4. Just keep in mind that if you start with 4 that it will be hard to go back to the gameplay of 3
 
I am going to put so many hours into this. Looks great and the concept behind it took me by surprise. Love the menus and overall style. The Persona scene at the end was great as well.

Off topic but have we seen how DQH looks on PS3 yet? I'm specially curious about that one because I think it will look vastly different :O
