Simplicity is not the answer to everything.
What you are seeing here is a menu that looks stylish while sending a clear indicator of what you are choosing.
That my friend, is harder to achieve than simplicity.

There were hints of anime tropes, but their abilities were limited in the real world. They didn't go around jumping in rafters and things like that. They were just teenagers. It seems like they took that in this one and turned them into some kind of superheroes.

I also wanted to say that I appreciate Atlus sticking to their own thing. They're basically doing what they want to while the rest of the game world tries to do too much of the same.

The Persona games are pretty popular (for the genre). It's not like they're taking any risks by sticking to more of the same. A risk would be removing social links and the likes, but we probably won't see that happening. I think this is one of the cases where what the developers and their audience want is the same thing.

Yes the region locking on Persona arena which, didn't it happen because of Zen United and Index wanted to maintain maximum sales, which then led to Sega stepping in for Ultimax whie throwing Zen United out.

On topic, this game looks so amazing, watched the trailer a few times trying to spot things, now I'm done and will wait for any more details/gameplay.

The best part of Persona 3 is the ending section, though.

Yeah, it's always a shame seeing people dropping Persona 3 because they found the first half of the game kinda boring. I mean, I can see why they do it. But you get so rewarded for going through the first half later on. The other half is godlike and the ending is the biggest reason why I prefer 3 over 4.

Though I prefer 4 over 3, I do agree that once the theme music of the dorms change in P3, the game had a certain gravity with it that made me want to see the game to its end.

Definitely the same engine, I always thought of Catherine as a test run for the engine tbh. It was kinda expected they would use it for Persona eventually

Heh I hear this a lot. I am not a huge RPG gamer and would be more interested in the social links and school/daily life stuff. I don't know a lot about the battle system so I think it kinda intimidates me to start.

Sorry don't mean to derail the hype train guys and gals!

Just play on Easy or Very Easy. Battles become a piece of cake and you can focus on the social link and school elements.
