I have no idea at this point. Everything leaked so far is the first 30-40 minutes. So there isn't much to say on that front.

I have heard good things about the encounters and variety from people who have played the game, but can't say more just yet. Will comment on it (without spoilers) if I get to see any of it first hand.
 
Viveks, is everything they're talking about in the spoiler thread about what was first posted in the recently locked The Order thread that I was accidently spoiled by?

Or is there new stuff being talked about?

No spoilers at all, just in case:
Its not exactly the first 30-40 mins of the game its some of the things said in those minutes that are getting us hyped for beyond!

I think that's an important thing to keep in mind about most games. It's what I consider to be the main difference between legitimate excitement

"First up the black border seems smaller than what the Evil Within has in comparison, which is good.

Graphics are extreme eye candy, fluid animation of movement, gun swapping etc, there were times I didn't realise a cut scene had finished, they blend that well with the gameplay. Everything fit well in the steam punk London setting.

Gameplay, think Gears of Wars duck, cover, shoot system, but much smoother animation. The guns all have a nice impact and enemies try an flank you. I had one circle around behind me when I wasn't looking."

This wait is killing me so in desperation for more impressions I went to the cesspool N4g.com and almost drowned. Only a drop of blackwater saved me. I swear this game is bringing out the worst of fanboys jealousy.
 
Man I wouldn't mind this one being 10 days away as much if spoilers weren't out in the wild like this. So freaking hard to avoid and even stuff like "the opening is comparable to the opening of the Last of Us" set up expectations that may not be met. Not saying that I fall into that, since I know that is subjective, but it could build that stuff up into something that it's not. With all that said, I know all of you are respectful of other's staying spoiler free, so it's appreciated.
 
I'm getting hyped now.

I've been interested since the first trailer, but now I'm feeling it. Kind of how I was with TLOU.

Mom and Pop stores usually. The one by me is privately owned and an import shop. They usually have games just sitting in the glass before release. Was able to get Madden's, Call of Duty's, Halo's, Assassins Creed's and a few others about a week early.

Generally mom and pop stores could give less than a fuck about a street date. Some big retail stores (Walmart and target in my area) sell games early due to employees seeing shit in the back and just putting it out. Most times if you take it to the register it will inform you that you are breaking the street date but some customers are pretty persuasive and some employees just don't care.

damn, not a single mom and pop store near me. Guess Ill just have to wait it out. But on the bright side I guess I get to enjoy the game with you guys at the same time.
 
I don't think there are any mom and pops stores in southern Maine that sell video games. Guess I'll just have to ease the pain of waiting with Majora's Mask 3D.
 
Visuals are great, and from what l can tell, the pacing of the game is slower then l expected (not a bad thing). Looks good!
 
I still feel having a Pre-release OT would be better than not having one at all, but whatever. The hype is rising by the day, definitely going with the collector's edition.
