Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

Just got a text for Toon Link pickup tomorrow. Seems Shulk will be available tomorrow as well (didn't get the text since I ordered Shulk with a different #)

Exciting!!
 
Oh man I hope my local GS's Shulk shipment comes in on Wednesday (no class that day), that would save me the trouble of having to wake up early on Friday to get it before class starts.
 
So GameStop stores across the U.S will be getting a bunch of Wave 3 according to some source from Amiibo Inquirer.
Guess that means I will attemot to tradefor/buy Shulk and Mega Man tomorrow

I'm in Michigan and got mine, so they've definitely hit the Midwest. Your store is probably a little late or just hasn't gotten to sending out info yet.

Everyone seems to be getting their GameStop texts at the same time. Haha. Wasn't expecting Shulk until Friday, but guess I'll be picking mine up tomorrow. Looking forward to getting really the only Amiibo I want.
 
Woah, my GameStop app only has my Mega Man and Sonic on my pre-order page. Ike, Sheik, Shulk, and Dedede have disappeared. I still have my pre-orders in store so I'm not worried but strange that they disappeared from the app.
 
Got my Shulk text too. Is it bad that I was hoping to just pick it up on Friday along with my New 3DS? Wonder if they'd hold it until Friday morning.

Nothing yet from my GameStop but I'll call them in the morning again. Funny that one of my preorders I'm most paranoid about is the one I'm counting on someone else to hold for me. It's paid off... but I still don't trust completely. :/

They're supposed to hold it for 48 hours, but YMMV by store. My experience with GameStop has been pretty great lately, so I wouldn't expect it to be a problem. If you really want to wait, you could give them a call. Worse comes to worst, they can help you pay it off over the phone if you haven't yet and put it in back.
 
Just checked my account on gamestop.

Shulk, Ike and Dedede are all missing from my preorders list, leaving just Mega and Sonic.

So, looks like Shulk, Ike and Triple D for tomorrow then?
 
Remind me, if I call & they say they got the shipment in, are they able to place holds over the phone, or do I gotta rush in & hope he's still on the shelf?

Was a belated birthday gift to me from a friend.
 
I just got a call from GameStop saying my "game" will be ready tomorrow afternoon. That's it, nothing specific. Shulk is the only thing I have shipping to store.
 
Just got my Sheik and Sonic delivered from Amazon. Like seeing people getting their Shulk notifications earlier than the 13th. Really hoping I can get mine before I head out of town. No notification yet, though.

If GameStops are getting theirs in tomorrow, there's a chance they'll have more than their pre-order allotment to sell. You could give them a call and see. Other than that, you could import as he's a normal release almost everywhere besides the US.

Sacramento said pre orders only. Won't be any to pick up otherwise.
 
Just called my Gamestop. No Shulk for me :(
Said they don't expect them until Friday or even Monday NOOOO!!

EDIT: BUNCH OF LIARS! Just got a call that he'll be there tmrw afternoon!! Glad I was lied to for once.
 
My Sonic DeDeDe and Ike pre orders were delayed from Gamestop, now "backordered" No idea if this means I'll get em or not.

Finally got a delivery estimate for Mega Man on Amazon, though it's for March.

By the way, anyone need a Toon Link they wanna trade for?
