Need Advice!! How can I steal $200 from a GAF member for heroin as soon as possible?

What a plot twist. I am sorry for the guy that lost 200 bucks, yep should had do a background check. I am surprise no one dig up his post history after asking for money advice.

Don't let anyone make you feel bad for trying to help other people out - you're a good guy, and sometimes good guys get taken advantage of, but better that than being a cynical jaded pessimist who sees only bad in the world. I salute you bro :).

The reason why OP is not banned seems to be because the admins are waiting to see if he replies to Kipp messages (if that was their only way to communicate.)

If op really used the money for his drugs, he's filth.

People keep repeating this. As someone who frequents the Buy/Sell/Trade thread here on GAF, I can assure you that's not the case. The mods are no doubt keeping his account open so that Kipp can try and contact him and get the money back. Once it's resolved, for good or ill, OP will get what's coming to him. And I don't mean $200.

For what it's worth I'll chime in with the "don't expect to get paid back" crowd. You performed an act of kindness, got burned, and it's up to you to decide whether than impacts other charity you'll do in the future or not—but it really is just charity, since the likelihood you'll see money lent this way is pretty slim.

Still sounds like "filth." Though I wouldn't say filth. I'd just say the OP knew what he was getting into so he brought it all on his himself. No sympathy here. I wouldn't expect nor would I accept anyone to extend any sympathy in my direction if I was in a similar situation.

For the record, I agree.
Just that, in that situation, he didn't technically use the money for drugs.
 
Kipp - have you sent the OP an email yet? If not, just send him a quick note with a link to this thread he created. Tell him that he really needs to read up on where it has gone in the past couple of days...

I donated as well and first I heard of this. But medical costs are ridiculous in the states and the pay pal went directly to his mom from what i've read.

His drug habit... well that's something else. The money went to his mom and that's what mattered and that was the whole point of donating.

I dunno about you, dude. But I wouldn't give money to strangers on the internet. Using his mother's illness as an excuse to get money sounds like textbook druggie tactic to get money for his habit.

Again, don't know the guy. But shit sounds iffy.
 
Don't be too down, Kipp. There are people genuinely in need out there and it can be very difficult to tell who is and who isn't. You're a good man for at least making the effort, even if in this case it didn't pan out. You have my respect, at the least.

Aww man that sucks :/. I mean I used to be gullible and believe the best about people but I got my ass scammed back a few years back. Not as bad as this though :/

Kipps, this really sucks. OP should man up and find a way to pay it back. This isn't the first the time that people on here. It's nice to help, but.. it has happened too many times I feel.

It reminds me of the pre-neogaf era when some kid came in here with a story of how it was going to be a sad christmas because his little sister was not going to get a brand new Nintendo DS (which was new at the time), and gaffers got together and bought them a Nds with a few games. Some guy was hardcore trying to white knight the whole thread, setting up everything, attacking peope who were noting strange issues with the story; anyhow the kid posted suspicious pics of a little girl holding a nds box, and I believe, never posted again.

OP you're a good person. Twenty years ago, it could've been me to spend some cash on a nice sounding druggie. Don't lose your faith in humanity, just be a little more selective with your hard earned money. And try to call him just to hear his story. It might be an entertaining one at least.

I'm guessing it's more like he had money to pay his electric bill or buy drugs ... not both ... and choose to go with the heroin.

So technically it's quite possible that Kipp's money did go directly to the electric bill.

This reminds me of the time I was robbed by a coke addict that I tried to help. That shit was really traumatizing.

I would suggest putting this one in the L column and moving on.
