For $20, I'd say it's worth if it you're a Jojo fan. It's amazing all the effort Namco put in to try & replicate the manga. It's more of a Jojo game first & a fighting game second.

Just a shame this is the 2nd time the game's been on sale, but the DLC still hasn't been discounted.

Yeah, Story Mode is basically a (boring) Wiki-style summary of the major events/battles. Granted, some of the parts won't go over everything, but they'll still spoil some of the major moments, like near the end & such.

I would say go for it if it wasn't required to beat story mode to unlock all the characters. :P

And even the Part 3 characters have spoilers built into their movesets... so. Yeah.

as I already wrote for past episodes, there is a clear difference between episodes with a comical tone and purposely dumb situations and episodes focused more on delivering clever and ''serious'' fights. it's true that you can find humorous elements in a lot of these episodes but that's not always the focal point. so you shouldn't really bother or "why didn't they do that" and "omg they're so dumb" in this type of episodes, just enjoy the silliness and Best JoJo *oh-my-goddo* Joseph.

overall, I don't really think that JoJo's characters are dumb. quite the contrary, especially if you consider that this is a series where people with crazy powers and monsters fight each other all the time.

story mode is basically non existent past 4 since there isn't enough characters in the game.

I agree with others, you just have to accept that Jojo logics follow its own course. I gave up a long time ago trying to really comprehend Arakis solution to things (I will never forgive him for the ridiculous way he handled Kars) or character development in general for that matter. A pretty weak episode but it was definitely worth watching for Josephs reactions.

Joseph's escalator melt down was fucking hilarious. Yeah it's just best not to think too much with this show. Logic flew out the window on this show when Dio turned into a hammy as fuck vampire going WRRRRRYYYYYYY and MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA!!!! It's great to poke fun at it at times though. Once you actually write down how some Jojo shit pans out you can only just straight up fucking laugh at it.
 
The thing with JoJo is that Araki will do what he wants when he wants and you best like it. If he thinks the series will benefit from something that might create a plot inconsistency, he will do it.

So pretty much he cares about as much about plot consistency as he cares about accurate anatomy portrayal.
 
Araki probably approaches his writing the same way he approaches his art; fuck the basics, if this looks cooler, this is what I'm going with. If the series at any point asked you to take the story seriously it would be a bigger problem, but he doesn't.

I personally loved the scene before when Joseph gets out of the bed when those ladies passing him suddenly get their dresses pulled.:p

Oh I cant wait to get more Muda Muda (witnessing Tha WORLD! in person) since the wait has been a bumpy ride.

I also loved when him and Avdol had to dive out of the bathroom window. Only woman that liked him was the old lady. I can't wait for more Dio. Only thing we've gotten from Dio are is "look at my sexy back" poses.

Judging by what I've seen from latter part Jojo this show is going to get even more colorful and it's going to be the funniest thing imaginable. If they really animate a guy with green lipstick my sides will probably split open.

When a production committee produces a series to run on a certain timeslot it's going to have to air for a certain number of episodes. Be it 12, 24 or 52 episodes respectively. Given the need to hit a certain quota of episodes stretching of material is inevitable.

Yeah pretty much, it's really unique. Before I started watching it I think my first reaction was, "why do these guys look like rainbow colored Fist of the North Star characters" now I don't even care. I just like the property.

Oh yeah that part in the bathroom was wonderful too! They know very well that our lust for Dio is so strong that his sexy back is a good appetizer!
I liked how they empathized in the beginning of part 3 how everyone came under Dios spell and immediately surrendered to his service due to how fabulous Dio was when he approached them.

You really think this could have all fit in 3 or fewer cours? One of the selling points of the show was that it would cover all the Stands/characters. I think every single adaption of Stardust Crusaders prior to this has cut out a lot of material.

I think there's only been the OVA and yeah they cut (and changed) a lot.

I love it when Jojo being dumb fun. This is one of my favorite fight in the manga. Glad to see Joseph V.A ham it up to eleven

I watched the 3 episodes of the test dub when it aired a while back. I was disappointed Dio didn't have an English accent (overall I would take his JP VA over Patrick Seitz as talented as the later is) but otherwise the dub was fine. Shame the 3 episodes got taken down and all you have are short clips to compare to the JP VAs you've gotten accustomed to. Haters gonna hate though *shrug*

It's better than Zeta Gundams English dub, doesn't seem to be as good as the Kill La Kill dub though. I'd have to see some full episodes though. I actually didn't mind English Dio, I wonder how over the top hammy the guy can be.

If that's considered "fine" then it makes me glad that I never watch dubs anymore (I grew up watching shit dubbed in French, it was terrible).
