Aaaaaah, Giroud. So physically perfect. What a shame he's entirely undesirable as a person. :P

Thanks, Edge! I will look up these amusingly named squat types and try them out.

If you can get to a gym and use a barbell that would be ideal. Otherwise Edge gave some good advice.

Squats helped my wife's butt tremendously. She actually has some cheek now.

I wouldn't mind going to a gym, but the fees require serious dedication to make it worth it and I'm not as serious as my husband about this stuff yet. Once I get going and make a real commitment I'll deserve that gym entry. :)

Squats and a bit of weights (maybe I can get a hold of a barbell) are definitely things I can do and enjoy on my own time, though. I did them relentlessly for a three month period a year ago and they gave the butt a real lift even without weights. Knowing the benefit of just generic squats, I'm very keen to see results using the ones Edge recommended and the weights like you said. Thanks for the tips! If you or your wife have any other butt-shaping hacks, I'm all ears.

I don't really know who my body idol is..I just want to build my chest and upper body in general, along with some squats for my thighs and ass.

I know I *don't* want the skinny Brad Pitt-from-Fight-Club look. I'd like something a little meatier in terms of build.

This is me now. Still got lots of work to do, but hey, Rome wasn't built over night!

Dream fantasy body would have to be Madonna or Jada Pinkett

I love the pump in the arms. Chestplate showing. How far? I'd say give me 3-4 months on IF and my old regimen back and I could do it again. Although I have a problem with people finding me too thin/veiny when I did. Oh well.

This is another great one for me.

It is the ideal physique for me. You are lean enough to have the muscles pop but you still have that bulky, strong look. At the same time, the diet is maintainable enough where you still have to keep things in check, but you can still enjoy your cheat meals or 3 without fucking up your physique.

Barbell glute bridges will really hit your butt hard.

This thread needs way more women weighing in.
I'm surprised at how many people want to be so macho and hypermasculine.

So... many muscles..

I did try to share how I want to look open and honestly. I'm a woman...
But.. then I think I messed up again and upset or bothered a lot of people...

I-I'm scared now... when people started reacting like that.. I.. I started shaking.. I felt like I messed up again... and I just got back on NeoGAF... too...

I-I'm not exactly sure what it was I did wrong... though I have some ideas...

I don't have a body idol, but I could stand to get some ideas. Anyone got any recommendations for a short male? 5'7'' or less? BPFC lean is good, but a little more mass would be fine with me as well.

As for how I am now relative to my non-existent idol, hyper skinny fat. Currently working on that. Almost 10 pounds down since 1/1, strength benchmarks improving slightly.

Sexyama is his nick name in Japan. Besides Ronda, this guy is one of the few people to really hit off Judo techniques in high level MMA. You might not think that is a big deal, but it is,:P
He has a strange love handles. I have that permanent fat as well. It just won't go off no matter how much I cardio!
Those are the oblique muscles. They are generally well developed in fighters/grapplers, especially judokas and greco-roman wrestlers, due to the heavy use of upper body rotation/bending in their arts.

But I wonder if some of these guys have used roids!? I know you can't just look at their abnormally large chins because some people really just have those, but them all being Brazillians, and Brazillians eating roids like candy, I mean. Particularly Pablo looks unreal. They are great grapplers, but I think atheletes looking like that... it's crazy. Even with all the advancements in nutrition, they just look completely different from grapplers and fighters from yesteryear.
I'd say the bolded is a safe assumption, yes. Beyond the visual test, PEDs are rife in BJJ and Palhares has tested positive in MMA.

I-I'm sorry...

T-The thread said "If you could decide how your body would look, what would it look like?"... s-so.. I thought it would maybe be okay if I shared my honest feelings...

I'm so sorry.

You have a very nice base. I recomend coming over to fitgaf if you wanna start building up some strength

I think the thread is looking for you to post real examples of an attainable body, so the disproportionate cartoon and robotic bodies are just a bit out of place. Don't have to be sorry, it's just a bit off from what the general interest of the thread is aiming to find out.

i'm surprised that there's more lean/Brad Pitt answers than the usual Arnold/Adonis body type. Those types of body do take a while to achieve so I understand.

I mean I would want Beyonce's body but that booty is unattainable to me. EVER.

Edit: What's with the stuttering? No need to be afraid just post people with realistic features.

It's very interesting how the aspirations of men and women in this thread differ so greatly. You see nearly every guy shooting for the stars and posting pics of big slabs of muscle. But women on the other hand seem to be just fine with a more typical, average physique.

First image up in google looks totally doable. *thumbs up* I do these without weights anyway.

Yup. Hip raises/thrusts as well. By far, the best exercise for your glutes.

Sweet. Thanks, guys. Kind of makes me want to get a mini home set. Doing these in the gym feels a wee bit embarrassing until you're in shape. -_-;

Well, women are sort of looked at weird for getting 'big' even muscle-wise. Even just bulking up your arms a bit gets more negative commentary than positive. More diversity would be nice, but many of us have been raised with a smaller/slimmer ideal, so we tend towards those types still (as many guys still seem to prefer less muscle/bulk on women too).

Lu Xiaojun is another guy I would love to look like.

good lord that back

I'd be completely fine with being smaller than Cavill, doesn't mean I can't try to reach him tho :p

Jinwoon from music group 2AM has a pretty ridiculous body for a ballad singing boyband member.

Picked him simply cause he's closest to my height and potential body mass, funny the youngest member is also the tallest/bulkiest. Could have picked a non official photo but shit... it looks the same even without the small edits which is depressing lol. Would not want to do their program though for this kind of body. Most of them get super ripped for a photoshoot/month or so of promotions, then slim back down, then do it all over again a handful of months later. Only a handful, like this guy, maintain it throughout the year for the most part.

Got into Korean media not long ago and a good bit of their actors and more recent singers are hella in shape. Specifically ones in the company JYP. Getting super ripped is part of their contract lol. Given how quickly people get results like this it's easy to tell when they are using insane amounts of supplements and roids... along with doing workouts that consist of 1000 situps a session @.@

Although yea it probably won't look exactly the same, the butt is a muscle. A great ass is within everyone's reach! Everyone needs to do their respective country proud and squat their way to a great ass. God bless.

If this is you pretty much untrained FitGaf can have you looking crazy good in a year.

Yeah I'm pretty much completely untrained. I was running a lot last year, and just started hitting the gym literally last week with a couple of work friends.

I'm all about looking crazy good so I'm definitely gonna head on over and take a look around FitGaf.

You've got a great start, man. Now it's time to clean bulk for months! The forever bulk is really tough, but you learn a lot.
I achieved my best growth when I hit 5000+ calories a day and concentrated on heavy lifts.

Interesting!

What do you think of GSPs tummy? What is this about:

GSP is in great shape, but in some times, even though his sixpack is visible, it looks like his abdominals are bloated! I always wondered why this was?

could it be that he just have a diaphram that lets him suck in obsene amounts of oxygen in during inhalation?
