Oh, just wait Shouta, it gets much much better later on. I've read the series 2 times and plan to read it a 3rd time in the future, its just too funny and good. Plus it helps that this author has a way with his drawings.
Please fight through it, the characters are great!
The lewdness I don't mind, but I actually didn't care for/like Prison School at the very beginning. Lots of characters acting dumb, and there's some crude stuff early on that wasn't really funny to me.
The butt bleeding was gross.
I think I started liking it towards the latter half of the first arc when characters started settling in and when you got to see more interesting interactions between characters
Gakutoh changing and stuff like Hana.
I can easily see why people would hate it though. It's sort of weird that I do like it now. I guess it's the crazy plans executed along with the self parody like what TLR Darkness did for itself.
Edit: Oh, and I still find the way they depict the Vice Prez rather gross. But I guess that's self parody at this point as well.
You're about to embar on a epic journey, etc, etc...
Just make sure you stick with it until the 2nd half. The first half is good, but the 2nd half is legendary.

I was always disturbed at vice prez's proportions cause it was flaunted repeatedly and how she wore her clothes... The latter half was my favorite since everyone started to show development and Andrenomics was introduced.
Please post your reactions, seeing Aqua lose it over Prison School was hilarious. Surely you too shall see the light.

It's all part of the magic.
Some people have issues getting through the start of Prison School, but if you got that far and still dislike it then I can't see your opinion of the series changing.

The crash was what brought me to tears, I won't spoil it any further so Shouta can go in and experience the glory that is Prison School.

I dunno this kind of smut is kinda refreshing in a weird way. It's so 2000s which probably makes no sense.

I had a mini group read of TLR with Wiseblade with daily chapters over half a year, that was fun. TLR can do things to a person, especially over a slow burn.
I haven't read TLRD for a year or so, I think I'm a bit bored with it at this point.

Eh, I disagree. There are some pretty good yuri works that breaks the norm, and really, you could label the entire romance genre with these two categories.
The nichome point is a good one, and you're right about it (Morishima Akiko also talks about it I think?), but really I don't consider Takemiya Jin a bad author or anything. Even though a lot of her works tend to be overdone thematically, they still remain enjoyable reads.
