Well thats cool, there is still a bunch of games with silly shit in it , and spartans acting chummy and jovial. Like that entire video game... staring.. spartans acting chummy and jovial... until the end.

My point is, spartans acting chummy and bro-ey isn't uncommon... at all. They are just really dudes in suits ( yes I know its more complicated than that ) and MC seems to be one of the weirder more silent ones. So i dunno a bunch of dudes getting hyped they are winning a training simulation after the reinstatement of the spartan program seems... normal. Seems like a subplot that i would not bat an eye at.

I don't think that gif out of the ordinary for the silliness levels in halo.

Yeah, but I think the point was that it's accidentally awesome.
Those moves belong to a Hatsune Miku clone transplanted into a Zelda game, who makes them look far less fabulous and a lot more like an annoying anime cliché.

To be fair, she's basically a broken half of only "good" and "happiness", her character informs her behavior far better than most generic anime cliche girls who are simply generic anime girls because they are generic anime girls. She's the genki girl in the most literal sense of the word in her entire premise as a character.

The books and comics are canon but halo legends most certainly was not. The games are relatively grounded, think you're exaggerating how silly the games are. They're not completely straight laced serious but they're definitely more focused on being serious while also mixing in humorous moments.

Whenever there are Grunts hilarity usually ensues. Halo does have a serious overarching story (with H4 arguably being the most serious in tone), but it has plenty of light hearted undertones.

I just find Spartan IV fist bumps somehow being the line to be rather funny.

You see it in ODST as well (Like cheering after blowing up a building), and they're supposed to be "the best of the best" without actually being Spartans.

The after match cheering makes perfect sense to me, in-universe it's explained away as a VR game, so it's not like they're killing real people (Sorta like games in real life), and at least it's explained unlike the presence of Grifball in previous games.
