So what Justice League members do we still need to see? Cyborg and Flash, right? Unless they are going to drop a Black Adam bomb on us and show The Rock in costume for his incoming film.
We've seen the Trinity plus Aquaman so that's 4. I'm guessing Cybeezy, Flash and GL left.

Seriously it's like DC wants to make every possible wrong choice available to them in developing this DC Cinematic Universe. They're the exact opposite of Marvel. Rushing this process, we should have got Aquaman movies and new Batman movies out prior to this Superman/Justice League primer film. They're just rushing things. And I'm sorry Baffleck is never going to work. He just doesn't have the very specific acting chops needed to handle the character in any memorable fashion. I've seen most of his films, he just doesn't have it.

You dont need to be the worlds best actor to pull of Batman. Need a competent script, look and acting skills . Affleck has the look and acting skills good enough to be Batman. Christian Bale is supposed to be a very great actor yet turned out a horrible batman performance in my opinion. Again he was probably let down by the director and the script more than anything.

This looks amazing! The clean cut look is okay but certainly not the only way to go. I've always liked the long hair version in the Justice League cartoon. This certainly feels like that but better.

I'm all for this as long as they ignore the comics as much as possible. Don't give him a hook hand at any point, or a water hand because both were dumb, everyone knows it. Aquaman fans too, they're just in denial. Just say one of his powers is the ability to control all forms of liquid (blood bending anyone?) some liquids are easier than others and that because he lives under the sea (spongebob square pants) he has super strength and crazy durability. There you go, feel free to use any variation of his origin story (because Americans love the trope of an outsider being heir to a throne of a far away place and despite not knowing shit about the politics or people of said place, that person is by far the best choice to rule and understand the people because).

Don't mention shit about talking to/psychically linked to (aka talking to) sea life.

I'm still angry I have to wait till 2016 for this fucking thing.

15 months of Post-Production on one movie is ridiculous.

Part of this is Snyder's insistence on shepherding both BvS and JL. But to be fair, I don't know quite where they'd stick BvS in 2015 even if it were ready in time. It's a risk to release these big movies in unorthodox windows (March for BvS, Thanksgiving for JL), but with Marvel squatting on the usual spring and summer dates, WB has no choice but to strike out and hope audiences will still head to theaters in droves in the off-seasons. The recent record-breaking successes of Q1 releases this year and the April release of Winter Soldier in 2014 would indicate that it's entirely possible.

They don't have to do it exactly like Marvel, but Marvel's approach has been so successful that WB could stand to emulate them in a broad sense. They could have started their cinematic universe with a good movie, for instance.

Because the MCU is built off of quality films such as Hulk, The Incredible Hulk. Thor, and Thor The Dark Age.

I smell salt coming from this post.

Unite the seven refers to the seven seas, not the Justice League. What, is Aquaman going to be the crux that gets the JL together? Doubt it.

Not really. The production process is taking forever, but that doesn't mean the story isn't going to be rushed considering how much they're cramming into BvS to prepare the way for JL.

None of us know this though... it could flat out suck, but, as far as I know, nothing has leaked (well I've tried avoiding those just for fear of spoilers) nor has anyone outside of WB seen the movie... so we have no idea how crammed or not crammed the movie is.

All of which are better films than Man of Steel with one reel tied behind their backs. Hulk isn't an MCU film, though.

Tons of info has leaked, as has a version of the shooting script, and yes, it is ultra packed. In all honesty, what I read sounds like it could be pretty damn awesome. Getting Goyer out of there and bringing in the Argo guy has resulted in a much better story, at the very least. It's just a question of whether it will survive the transition through the prism of Zach Snyder to the big screen intact.

Add Iron Man 2 and 3 to the mix. People are acting as if all MCU movies are master pieces. I agree they have had more hits than misses but lets not romanticize their track record too much.

Shockingly decent. The costume seems really well tailored to JM's physical presence. He pulls off the look with style.

The rush is in how they're developing the Universe. Instead of carefully introducing various characters in their own films as they should, they're going to have this primer film overstuffed with introductions, they keep choosing poor talent to helm their works, the actors aren't particularly inspiring either, and Man of Steel was a poor start.

DC is the opposite of Marvel so far in how deliberately they've been going at this process. So far, I am unimpressed.

I see what you're saying but honestly I don't think I can fault them.

They may not have the time to build up lesser known characters first, not with Marvel in full swing and in the middle of its arc. They got caught sleeping during phase 1. The genre isn't going anywhere but these next few years may be peak in terms of box-office.

Fantastic. I hope they can pull off his solo movie well, but I do imagine the underwater action will be very tricky to pull off in live-action.

*looking through surprised, "better than I imagined" posts*
Uhh, we all knew what Mamoa looked like before tonight, right?
I mean, maybe not necessarily what he looked like holding a trident in black-and-white, but... there's nothing spectacular about it.

I fucking love that they moved AWAY from the white blonde guy look and went with the actor's heritage and a culture that has close ties to the sea!!!

This is a refreshing change from the near incessant white-washing that Hollywood usually does!

Hulk is a Phase 1 movie (the second one).

I would say the best thing is do is just wait for the movie to come out before judging it... could suck, could be awesome, (probably somewhere in the middle). We've all seen scripts that sounded amazing only to flat out suck (and vice versa).
