Mayweather for the split-decision.

Would love it if knccks Pacquiao out though. That would be hilarious, especially considering he doesn't seem to have the power to do it any more, if he ever really had it in the first place.

Finally!!!

Does this mean we can expect double the amount of this since Pacman is fighting Mayweather?

Many involved expected the announcement to come on Thursday but Mayweather was upset because Top Rank, Pacquiao's promoter, was leaking word of the impending announcement and he wanted it to be a surprise.

According those familiar with the agreement, the contract Mayweather signed for the fight gave him the right to be the one to announce the fight, even though he was obligated to notify Top Rank of when he would do it. On Friday afternoon, Top Rank was notified and Mayweather made the announcement about an hour later.

Although he announced it on Friday the deal had been done for a couple of days with both sides having signed the paperwork. Contracts were also signed by broadcasters HBO and Showtime, who will team for a historic joint pay-per-view.

In addition to the future Hall of Famers finally hammering out a deal for their welterweight title unification bout -- one that will see Mayweather receive the lion's share of a 60-40 money split in a fight that could gross around $400 million -- rival premium cable networks Showtime, which has Mayweather under contract, and HBO, which has a deal with Pacquiao, went through a brutal negotiation and will come together to produce and distribute a joint pay-per-view telecast, which is expected to cost a record-high $89.95 (and probably $10 more for high definition).

$100 for this fight in HD!? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck (cuz really, if you're paying that much already, who's not gonna spring for the HD for this shit?)

This is my humble prediciton. If this goes 12 rounds, Money is going to take it.

The only way Manny is going to win is to either knock him out or knock him down numerous times and win.

This is a very tough match. As a Filipino and fan of Pacquiao, I am so excited yet worried at the same time. Floyd is TOP TIER and will always be.

What a Friday.... woooooshhh

I want Pac to make Floyd sweat a little in the ring then catch him with a solid punch and put Money on the canvas. Of course it won't happen but if it does......think how big Floyd vs Pacquiao II will be.

If May was to lose do you think even with all that money he would regret having fought?

I get the feeling his undefeated legacy means everything to him.

I want to say this. Pac is the given underdog. We all know it. Money May is extremely good and I believe one of the best fighters in the history of the sport.

If Pac really trains hard like he did before the Dela Hoya fight or the Hatton fight and HAS NO DISTRATCIONS (Politics, Sleeping at 2am on training day ), his chances are high.

Pac can win this. It's like fighting the hardest final boss on a video game but with good discipine, prayers, and passion, he can win it.

Plus, he was confident a few years ago that he could roid up and still beat the drug test, so that will probably be perfected by this time.

Of course. I would expect some his fans to turn on him like some did to Roy.

Roy could have retired after beating Ruiz and called it a day. He would've gone down as one of the best of all time in boxing.

Instead, he fights Tarver twice, gets laid out in the rematch, gets KTFO by Johnson in the next fight, and his legacy is forever tarnished.

It's about damn time. I know it should've happened in 2010 but better late than never.

I'm really curious to see what the undercards are above all else. This is a chance for boxing to show some of its future talent.

$90?

Ahhaahahahahhahahaha

Still buying
I heard speculation $120 was the target HD price. I think Cowherd was talking about it, and he is knowledgeable on TV numbers. It wouldn't surprise me. This is the biggest ppv event ever. People will pay. PEACE.
