http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/...es-to-court-over-beanie-babies_n_6631598.html

Nov 5, 1999, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA: Attorney Frank Totti looks over papers while his client Frances Mountain sorts out Beanie Babies with her ex-husband Harold Mountain in Judge Gerald Hardcastle's Family Courtroom in Las Vegas November 5. The couple, who were divorced four months ago, were ordered to divide up the collection valued at $2,500 to $5000 but were unable to do so by themselves. The collection was ordered spread on the court floor and divided up one by one under the supervision of Family Court Judge Hardcastle.
Maple the Bear was the first to go.

I have no idea what tags the skylanders/DI/amiibo use but commonly NFC tags generally only can store about 45-60 user-writeable bytes (user in this case being developers). As you go up it gets $_$
Here is some info on the ones used in Amiibo:
Memory Size: 540 bytes
Page Size: 4 Bytes
Number of Pages: 135
Product Vendor: NXP Semiconductors (Germany)
Product Type: NTAG (0x04 - matches up with the NTAG dynamic library on the system)
Product Subtype: 50 pF (0x02)
Product Version: 1.0
User Memory size: 256 bytes
Apparently the NFC chip on the Wii U has a Maximum message size of 454 bytes.

I calculated that, counting all forms and Mega Evolutions but not shinies or Spinda alternate appearances, it would cost the best part of $12,000 to complete a Pokémon set.

That's only if you preorder within 3 minutes of orders coming up or camp out 6 weeks ahead of release.

Can't wait to see people kill each other over Pidgeys and Ratats.

Lol I googled Maple the Bear and there is one on ebay for $6.

Do you have by any chance a link with technical data of amiibos to point me out?

Lots of Pokemon amiibos can get released, but I only see it happening through amiibo cards, except for starters and legendaries (and Smash Bros characters).

I can see Pokémon stuff being done akin to how they did the e-Reader, which was essentially the precursor to this. Most cards will be TCG and have special mini-games or other things, while there will be special sets that give content such as new trainers to face in RSEFRLG, new Pokémon to catch as in Colosseum, bonuses as in Pinball Ruby & Sapphire, special things to do in Channel or new berries in RSE.

That's current value, so you could say same things for all rare beanies' values. Their values just crashed big time awhile ago but in the past, it was expensive.

Sorry about double posts.

every. single. pokemon.

Imagine this.

GameFreak decide to make a new Pokemon game for mainline. (7th Generation) They decided to do something new with the Amiibo concept.

1. You can't transfer any pokemon from previous games to 7th Generation.

2. You only can capture brand new pokemon in the wild, and there wouldn't be any old pokemon in the wild. Also it would apply to other things like NPC trading, etc.

3. Only way you could get old pokemon in your game is buying specific pokemon Amiibo that you want.

4. They would only print 500k Amiibo for specific Legendary Pokemon to emphasize it's rarity. (YES, 500K FOR WORLDWIDE RETAILERS)

5. 750K Amiibo for Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon' final evolution

6. Shiny Pokemon Amiibo would be extremely rare, like 1 out of 100,00 Amiibo. Heck, you wouldn't know which stores would get it. It is like winning a state lottery.

Edited 1: I decided to edit the numbers from 1M to 500k and 750k

Wow, props for gathering all of this info! Jesus, I never would've thought those damn things would be so fucking valuable!!! Crazy.

It's a good thing that they have long-term plans for the line. Unfortunately, its benefits will only be apparent to the few hundred thousand who land each limited figure.

The best part was when she told you to expand your search.

I don't think scouring more Gamestops is going to make acquiring Shulk less impossible, ma'am.
