They added fog/mist to the scene for the stealth section.
It doesn't though. Look at this footage at 8.32 or so with the dinosaur...The lighting looks really great, as does the detail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFIgqrjwnWY
I have a question.
Do you think there is a "downgrade" here?

Time of day is different + added mist etc. It's a different time of the day there, or not?
It's great but still far from the ultra pc ver. Shown first time. It also doesn't help shadows are cut and that probably also makes an impact on the overall lighting. Don't get me wrong, it's still amazing... but it's very gamey now in comparison to before that almost approached photo realistic lighting if u get what I mean.
You don't provide any proof though.

The only one that exists so far is the E3 2013 "target render" footage.

Yeah its quite ridiculous. The inform part of their marketing campaign is way too aggressive.
They better not be so heavy on the media post demo release.
Its so hard to resist clicking it![]()
It's a bit ironic to even say it but they definitely did show too much. Years of silence then they swung the entire opposite way when it comes to what you should inform fans with... gg.
I wish they would have kept the chocobo post unspoiled. That would have been so cool to stumble upon
Yes, this is a demo but it's a piece of a game people waited 9 years for. I pray the full game marketing isn't like this at all - let people discover things on their own!
It's the same thing with MGSV and some other titles. People really want to see new stuff desperately and when they actually show something it sometimes is too much.
I don't mind seeing a few more locations and gameplay mechanics but I know I will regret having watched 70% of the videos.
The October Walkthrough version is astoundingly better looking. That doesn't mean that what we have now doesn't look good, either, and nor does it mean that the game won't look better at final launch.
Still, I highly doubt it's going to reach the fidelity seen in the October Walkthrough version on PS4.
Also, looks like they did put fake blood in for the Behemoth! Hopefully there's some free DLC to see more light gore (like Noctis bleeding) for the final release.
MGSV handled it right, really. There's a lot of mystery about the game and most of what has been shown as been very controlled.

Which is not a luxury FFXV can afford, people everywhere are extremely skeptical about this game.
They have to tone down the information by a lot, but if they start showing us little stuff like MGSV, then people will become even more skeptical.
I'm hopeful SE's spoiling of the entire demo is just them trying as hard as they can to get people interested in buying Type-0. Hopefully they don't plan the same thing to get people to get XV when it actually comes out.
I think it's the opposite. People have been speculating more with the avalanche of information we've had, often jumping to irrational conclusions.

Then they should show more of Type-0 lol. I can't comment yet on the HD version but the original PSP game was very enjoyable to me.
I honestly think people are going to do that regardless. Lack of info and people wonder if it suffered a setback.
I hope after this demo they feel it's enough to keep people occupied at least until E3 and then TGS
-Party based on 4 guys wearing black
-Traveling with a normal car
-Action RPG
-Can play only using Sasuk...Noctis
-No gurls
Why is this game called Final Fantasy XV? Oh! It has Chocobos...totally a FF then!
I can't see a Final Fantasy with this demo but I can see a good game...it's something I guess.

We've stepped into some twilight zone parallel universe where people complain they're showing too much of the game.
Yes, Konami is certanly doing it better. Yes they show plenty of stuff but at the same time there's always some question marks scattered around the informations they provide. With FFXV they basically show everything available in the DEMO, leaving anything outside. Hopefully they'll not do the same with the full game... but considering Type-0 trailers, it's delusional thinking so. Maybe I'll have to mediablack out soon too.

- You're pointing out that the clothing of characters looks strange? Sounds like FF to me.
- FFVIII?
- This is new, so I'll let this one pass.
- What does this have to do with anything?
- What does this have to do with anything, either?
I'm already anticipating the huge backlash for the developers being bold and sticking with their vision of an all-male party at final release.

I don't think you can dismiss his post entirely. I don't think a lot of this stuff would have been the case if they had planned this as FFXV from the beginning. For instance, the all male cast or the lack of female characters.
you could compare Ground Zeroes with Duscae, both are rather short and several mechanics will only be available in the final game.
I also think we can expect a few more trailers for both games but I would agree in a sense that we can't really tell where both XV and V are headed storywise.
Well I think there reasoning for the way they have done Type-0 is that the game has been out for a couple years already, so a good amount of people have probably heard a good amount about it. Probably not the best reason though lol
They can show me as much as they want. I'll live.
Do we know yet if the demo is a standalone app or does it run THROUGH Final Fantasy Type-0's menu. I'm considering buying it, using the demo code and then trading the game in to Best Buy (using GCU). But this will only work if the demo is standalone. Anyone know yet?
