It sounds like some of you guys are taking "Stella" and creating a myth out of her when it's not that complicated.

And the reason why they don't say stuff about shit sometimes is because they've always been weird about almost everything. :p

I now want the Xenomorph in the new Alien film to have Tidus's seagull squawk laugh as its noise instead of the classic Xenomorph noise.

If this is a "spoiler" it's because people that are obsessed with a concept character want to find out for themselves if she's been renamed or if they're deciding to keep it the same just because of the long and bumpy production history for this game. Whether or not Luna is Stella or if they're changing the name back to Luna isn't a spoiler or a surprise, but a general production decision.

I think the point some people want to make is that if it's just a name change from Stella to Luna it's fine, it's just a name, as long as the character remains with the same importance and the same role in the story I wouldn't mind.

But if instead they changed the whole character and not just the name, that would be a problem for me, because before Versus changed to XV the two main characters that they always showed were Noctis and Stella (and also were the only ones with a name for a long time), they even had already some backstory explained, like the fact they both see the light of dying people or something like that and that apparently they would be on opposing sides.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember that Nojima who is the main scenario writer said that he was already done with the story for the game, and that was when it was still Versus XIII, so again if it's just a name change there's no big deal, the problem is if they changed the story of the game because I want the story that Nomura and Nojima originally had in mind for the game that's all.

In the 2013 re-reveal there's another render of someone who looks almost identical to Cor, but he has distinct markings on his face that are different. So some people have rationalized that there's a weird doppelganger subplot. However it is possible that SE released two different renders of a slightly redesigned Cor.

It's all up in the air at this point.

Go look at Versus trailers. Stella was always there. The first proper conversation we had in trailers was between Noctis and Stella. Every time the characters started talking about the plot, Stella was involved in some way. One of the most pushed promotional shots was that one of Stella (Kagari's avatar). The re-reveal starts with her talking about the plot.

Please tell me how that's not an important character to the story.

And again (again) if Luna is Stella, then why did Tabata said nothing changed besides the gameplay? Then why keep it a secret?

All I'm arguing is that whether or not "Stella" is in the game is not a spoiler. I'm not talking about how much we know about her or how important she is/was to the story. A characters' existence, mere existence in a game is not by any means a "spoiler." It doesn't matter what changes have been made since whenever. Knowing or not knowing if Stella is Luna or if they're two different characters or if Stella has been discarded doesn't ruin a single aspect about the game. That's not a story twist or some kind of revelation, just a character name/design choice.

I just don't see how this would be some kind of a surprise.

Well, it's not a spoiler anymore now that this is not even being tagged anymore.

It WAS a spoiler on the demo, because again, no one knew if she was still in, no one commented and when asked they said "No comments.". It's not a spoiler for the final game, but finding out that Stella was still in the game was one of the surprises of the demo. So yeah, saying what the surprise is before people get to see it for themselves is a spoiler.

You say that like advance and review copies of games don't exist. Just odd SE is making the demo available to everyone simultaneously.

Saw Kagari said her code is for the 17th too. I was just wondering in case I got something mixed up or a bad code.

I don't even know if "Stella" is in the game or not and I've read all those tags. What I've been saying in my posts is something that has already been discussed. I literally haven't confirmed or denied anything. The sources that these spoilers (lol) are coming from are very, very confusing, and perhaps even confused.

They might still be workig on the final demo build, who knows. Though I don't know if it's technically possible so close to the demo's activation because they surely must first pass the Sony and Microsoft certification process which I suppose takes a few days at least, no?

It's not confusing at all, a website (that played the demo) said that they (Noctis and co.) are going to meet Stella. If they messed up Stella with Luna we don't know, but what they typed is pretty clear. So it should be tagged because it's a spoiler.

If that's accurate, which is still sketchy as far as I'm concerned, it would just mean that they changed Luna's name back to Stella. If not, her name is still Luna. I'm just going to give you guys the benefit of the doubt and assume that I'm just simply missing something here, but I don't see how name shuffling could possibly be considered a spoiler.

Well me (and others) already made the most clear explanation we could make. It was never about a simple name change.

Anyway, the website should say if they messed up or not, because now we'll only find out when the demo comes out.

The spoiler is the premise, not the name.

Why would you want them to spoil something like that though? :p

Sorry. I didn't mean for it to become a big thing. It just sounds like whether or not Luna is Stella or whatever is only a spoiler in the eye of the beholder.

I didn't get a chance to see the PR notes so I really don't know if that was covered or not. I'm 800 miles away from the office and having the game shipped to me so it could be that they're still working on Duscae or getting it certified.

Really just disappointed I have to wait, but what's a couple days after 9 years?

I'm not playing the demo (didn't get a PS4 in time). So I don't care, I'm just chasing all the spoilers.
 
Yeah, I imagine it's just a mistake in gamersyde's part, otherwise somebody else would have mentioned it. But what do I know? xD

Guys, that's not a spoiler. I can't find any given context where it would be a spoiler.

Making up a plot in your head for the reason two characters with similar names and similar appearance is hardly a spoiler.

They could be twins, alter egos,doppelgangers, or completely different people.

Also, mind you that SE showed us both of these characters. Making an observation off of this and calling it a spoiler is dumb.

Edit:... Also apparently the plot of this demo isn't even going to be used for the main game, so it wouldn't matter.
