I told you, it's spoilers for the demo. Even the press said that the game is great, but it would've been better if SE didn't spoil every single thing. Spoiling that you get the Doomtrain as your summon on the demo ruins the surprise.

Exactly. Hell, a clever game designer can build an accessible yet deep game around two buttons only (see Gameboy). I'll quote myself from yesterday:

I only read the JPGames Review and it was overall positive, especially in terms of gameplay

Well, 4Players' staff is great, imo. They are critical and really care for the artistic value of the medium. The community on the other hand... nah :D
I deliberately try to read articles on sites that I know are generally more critical of JRPGs and recent FFs, just to get a better feeling for the perception outside of our bubble. Check out the GamesWelt, GamesPro or GameReactor.
 
I find it funny people are so up in arms for spoilers for a demo. I mean I am super stoked for it as well, but its not like its the main game lol

Well, there's actually very few things that we know about the demo that won't be applicable to the end game.

At most the big change will be the battle system after fans complain about it (and they will).

I don't see them changing too much to the battle system honestly. There will be the vocal minority who will hate it though due to it not being turn based.

I just hope the demo runs with a lot of performance issues.

That way there will be very little complaints about the battle system and the feedback will be to improve the performance.

So we all win because now they're making their own game, with better performance they got from the feedback. Done.

I just hope no matter what about the feedback they still make their game and not try to please everyone. I loved Matsuda's interview about this and I hope they actually stick by it.

I hope so.

The last thing Tabata showed so far was confidence in his vision for the game. But either way, I already accepted that I won't be liking whatever they take into account after the demo, I'm just here for the story and exploration (and minigames).

Next year I'll have Ys VIII to fill my need for Action-rpg goodness.
 
have they decided if snow will make a cameo in this game? i wouldn't mind his outfit for one of the guys though. his XIII-2 was amazing to the core.

My desire to not have a game I've waited for nearly 10 years spoiled will outweigh the pull. I hate the thought that I could get major shit spoiled after all of this time. I already had the summon and most of the surprises for the demo spoiled for me. I can't allow that to happen in the final game.

13 is its own universe and story, it has nothing to do with this game thankfully

I think the demo will have served to whet my appetite to a degree. I probably won't actually do a total blackout, but I will definitely pick and choose what I watch and look at very carefully.

I was too weak to resist watching the Jump scan today :( It will be SO worth it if I boot up the game next year without knowing anything besides what they'll show at E3 this year, mhmmm. I can do it.
