Pillars of Eternity Gone Gold! Releasing March 26th

This and Bloodborne will consume my next week (and the following weeks).

Can't wait for my fancy KS backer collector's edition and I even ordered the printed versions of the guidebook and the Prima guide (because I'll only get the PDFs of those).

I cannot believe Bloodborne and Pillars of Eternity are releasing in the same week. It's like two of your biggest crushes walking up to you and asking if you want in on a threesome.

I laughed aloud at this. Nobody in my office looked at me though..they're just used to me randomly laughing at this point.

I cannot wait for next week. I'm so excited.

Damn I thought it was coming out on the 24th!

I hope my name in the credits makes it in. I didn't know about the survey. I thought they would have just used our name registered on Kickstarter or their website.

I hope I didn't spend all this money just to find out something I was looking forward to won't be there. The survey was still open though, so maybe I made it in.

I know that in Wasteland 2 some of their patch notes listed changes to kickstarter credits. If you're not in there, you'll likely be in patch #1.

system requirements?

Edit, All I'm seeing on the website is:

It's too early in development to give explicit hardware requirements, but our target is to run on older machines and to support a wide variety of hardware.

We will be announcing the system requirements at a later date so stay tuned for an announcement down the road.

Oh man that bring back some good memories, when I was hanging in the IceWind Dale/BG forums and we were all waiting for the gold announcement .

Taking a couple of vacation days :) Going to be EPIC!

And my hardcover copy fo the Guide book is due to arrive tomorrow as well! I feel like it's xmas and I'm 12 years old :)

I may be unique in going into this almost completely blind other than knowing there was a kickstarter. Can't believe this is so close, really eager to sink my teeth into it.

EDIT

Ooh that sounds cool, didn't know about the biography.

This reminds me of what the Witcher 2 did, the objectives and quests were presented as if your friend who is a bard is telling the story, by the end of the game it's like reading a mini book or something, it was pretty cool and I'm pretty sure it was overlooked by many as well.

You and me both. I backed the kickstarter on day 1 and then went (mostly) blind. It's been difficult to keep away from gameplay videos and explanations of mechanics.

It's fairly safe to say that my anticipation for this game is unmatched.

when they plan to give out codes for backers? going to be any preload? i have so many games that i won't play. this will be one of them lol

Sorry potential PS4 purchase with Bloodborne, I have something more important to attend to first.

Two games from Obsidian within 12 months and a few weeks of each other is awesome.

Look forward to finally playing this next week. It'll be great to jump into their games from the beginning instead of years later.

Still not sure what char I want to make. I keep bouncing between cipher, monk, and chanter.

forgot I bought this on GMG aaaaaaaaaages ago. excited

The agony of the single character creator.

Yep.

I'm thinking rogue, (reason why is spoilerish!)
since none of the companions is one.
And I like playing stabby, stabby rogues.... which is weird, there was a time when I only played mages, then only played paladins, now, only playing rogues.

Well, I am kind of avoiding info about the companions, but this is the most important thing I've learned about the game. I'm going rogue!

Me too.
(Though, from the quick look I gave to the class, it seems more oriented to supporting allies than being the classic "anti-evil tank"; not exactly my cup of tea).

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure it will be my favorite class in this game but I'm definitely going to play it first and give it a fair amount of time.

Ah. My Q6600 is going to cry.

As someone who has been on a media blackout for this game, I thank you for this information. Smooth-talking rogue for my first character it is.

Same boat. I had a silver tongue bard when I played NWN2, so being almost useless in battle early on in the game is kind of my default built for the last couple of party RPGs I played.
