BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

I'm trying to figure out what kind of build I want to make.

Might just do the standard 40/40 STR/SKL quality build so I can equip pretty much any weapon.

I'm not sure if I should completely neglect bloodtinge and arcane though.

I think I'm gonna focus on Skill and Bloodtinge. I've always made a DEX build in the past and I wanna see what the guns are capable of.

There are only a few releases with this much deserved hype every five years.

FROM seems to hate bow based builds in the Souls games, and I'm not sure this is going to be an exception. If anything, it seems like the guns will be able to have their damage increased relatively high, but they still won't be rapid fire and you won't have a surplus of bullets. Unless whatever ability it is that allows you to convert blood to bullets can be done quickly, as well as have the conversion ratio adjusted in some way. Just seems like you'd be carrying around a cannon with limited uses otherwise.

finally bought the game on the US store but it doesn't show up in the list of games on my main account. is it because I haven't installed it yet?

Probably dumb questions but does this game have different Difficulty settings or just 1?

Also is there loot that drops to change up your gear as you level up?

I have it preordered already just wanted to know a few things.

There's no difficulty settings. In Dark Souls 2 you could voluntarily make the game harder, but I don't know if that's in Bloodborne. As for drops, there are multiple weapons and sets of armor, but it's not a loot game by any means. From what we've heard I think most gear is purchased from merchants

My secondary weapon has a always been a bow and it was extremely useful for sniping, drawing attention, and cheeskng stuff. Not sure how good the guns would be for that though.

hahaha I can't believe a spoiler thread has reached 60 pages.....before the game has even released.

The crazy thing to me is that we are on page 60 and not that much has been actually spoiled.

I've yet to see anything outside the first two areas of the game..

If this was pre-nerf GAF, we'd have the |OT| ready to go by now :( I miss the hype in those threads.

Honestly the only thing that bothers me about the warp thing is having to go back to the refugee every time I need to level up.

It's just a waste of time and it doesnt add anything in an interconnected map IMO, especially if the loadings are that long. I'll rather be able to level up in every lantern, ala DS1.

Yup,it was bad move in DS2 and breaks the inmersion of the game since it would destroy the tension and always be safe

Ugh, that is probably the only negative of the game design ao far. It wasn't so bad on DS2 PC with 3 sec loads, but if we are talking 20 sec or more, this will quickly become a nuisance.

Wonder how much an SSD improves loading on PS4.

Anyone receive the guide book yet? Enough about the game spoilers I want some of that sweet guide information. (I've only gotten a guide for two games, one for Majoras Mask 64 with the game and the other free for Bioshock: Infinite for some Gamestop promotion.)

If only it was shipping to me now it would hold me over until next week. Hell I'm still debating taking next Tuesday off...

Same here. As much as I would have liked to have watched longer streams I'm partly glad they've been shut down so late game stuff hasn't been spoiled.

I need a stream, why isn't anyone streaming.

Seemingly nil.
There is an arcane stat, but that seems related to elemental damage
there is magic, just not as much as or as relevant as the other souls games, from what I've read. probably just some sort of support magic.

The patch is live and it's 2.69 GB

Please; someone who has the game and downloaded the patch answer us peasants the following:

  • Is there a complete changelog?
  • How much does it improve the framerate?
  • Did it add any anti-aliasing? Did it get better?
  • Have they changed something else?

Was AA and framerate still an issue? Every stream I've seen looked fine and the latest HQ videos had very good IQ

I'm not sure how to judge it properly by streams that are usually blurry and of low quality. Better than the IGN First videos? The aliasing in them was horrible and severely distracting.

Everything I heard indicated AA and framerate were already fine. Only real complaint I've heard (and seen for myself) are load times.

I watched that 45 minute video someone linked a couple days ago and while the framerate wasn't distracting it was still noticably.

HECK, From even said that the day one patch should improve the fps. Now I want to know by how much!

Load screens are the only thing I care about. Well, better load times are always nice but if there's item descriptions then at least I'll have something to read.

Yeah we've seen lots of footage since those IGN First videos and the AA is already massively improved. Those were from a super old build
