Battlefield Hardline |OT| Battlefield FIVE-O

Got it early and really been playing it nonstop and I really liked it. To be honest I think im liking battlefield 4 more. Im getting bored really fast for some reason. Dont know why, because I honestly really like the mp and the more infantry based nature of it, but it took me months to get bored of bf4. Maybe im just online fps'd out.

So I was watching the angryjoe stream for Battlefield Hardline and it seems like a BF mod to me. I will wait till the price drops, don't think it's worth the full price.

I'm really enjoying this. But man alive, I don't know what it is about Battlefield, but I'm just terrible at it. Every one of them. I just can never get my bearings, I am ALWAYS getting fucked over by someone I can't see. And the loadout menus and what not seem so needlessly complicated.

Also, how do I use these boost things? Not that it'll matter with how I've been playing.

Try to slow down a bit, don't be afraid to stop moving for a few seconds to scan open areas and things like doorways and windows in front of you. Spam that spot button as well while you scan for threats, great way to pick up people you normally wouldn't see.

Boosts can be scrolled over to on the spawn screen.

Battlefield, even though they've been after the Call of Duty kool-aid since Bad Company 2, is still very much a different FPS from others. It definitely hasn't lost its identity. Especially on consoles, it's really different from other console shooters. It's generally better to take things really slow at first and get your bearings with all the stuff the game throws at you. Battlefield games have always been a bit overwhelming to some degree whether it's the amount of stupid chaos you can just get dumped into unsuspectingly (watch out for the potentially bad squad respawns), or now a days a lot of fucking unlocks.

You can access boosts from the spawn menu. It should be the 2nd tab to the right. Also before you add the boosts read what they specifically apply to first. There are some that multiply points for doing team oriented actions (giving health, ammo etc), some boost the vehicle unlock XP, and some make weapons level up faster. It's not like BF4 where it was just a general all around XP boost. Now they're really specific.

Anybody know the cheapest price going around on PC?

First Battlefield here. Losing connection after a match. Can't find a server to join. Fun stuff. It's fine though I planned on trading it in two weeks from now anyways.

So I had a friend swear up and down he had a gator jump out and eat him while playing the Everglades map. Anyone else see anything like that?

Also the Hollywood heights map DOES look awesome and is chaotic as hell

I saw the gator tonight! It just came out of the marsh and started coming at me. I just shot at it a bit, it dived and disappeared.

Loving heists, when u get good teams its Amazing because there are lots of possibilities to attack/defend.
Playing on X1 and i can say it is the most stable launch of a Battlefield Game ive had since BF2. (europe)

so guys, I have this game unopened sitting here and I want to return it cause NONE of my friends are getting it and as much as I really really wanna play it I don't think I could always just play alone.

Any GAF buds open to making squads and playing on XBO?

If so, I may consider keeping this game.

I'd be down to play with you on Xbox one! Just send a friend request to: ShadowsFell

I could use some teammates. So anyone else who wants to add me, please do. Just send me a message letting me know you're from Gaf! :)

DDOS Attack.
Serious post or are you guessing with this post as on the battlelog website yesterday there was a big notice saying there were going to be restarting all servers and everyone would loose connection.

Serious. There was DDoS attack last night and tonight it happened at the same time. Although there's nothing official for tonight's disconnections.

You're probably best off going the mexican origin VPN route, I know someone got it for $40 from there. I got mine from that ebay seller for $30 but it seems like I was a lucky one in that case.

Have they included a training mode thing again in Hardline, where you get to test out sensitivity, vehicle handling etc?

I feel like "We got DDOS'd" is probably the new 'get out of jail free card' for server issues.
The guys not wrong though! I had one disconnect at about 4.30 GMT, I assume that's why EA were messing around with the servers and put that message up on battlelog. Uh, themoreyouknow.gif.

I don't think so, I haven't seen one anyway.

Blood Money is actually pretty fun. Ended up playing that for most of last night. Any gaffers looking to play online, please add me! PSN: Ltledhead

Really liking it so far (PS4).

TTK is low, but gunplay feels smoother than BF4. Contextual lean seems a lot more/actually useful here.

Edit: Oh yeah, and it's working fine on launch day. Shouldn't have to applaud that, but there it is.

I'm in the same boat, only for PS4.

Not sure how many people only FL are getting the game, but I'm hoping it will be quite a few from the old BF BC2 days.
If not, feel free to add me: meppi64. (PS4 off course) Same goes for others;)

My copy is underway for delivery today. Naturally I have to work another 8 hours before I can finally start playing it. :(

So, I managed to kill someone with Snub .38 from the roof of one of the skyscrapers to the other. God damn do I love the netcode.

@10:40s

This was a particularly good heist game.
haha that was great. I would have waited till he was using the biplane to shoot it down actually and see him tumble down to the street. ;)
Everything seems to be working quite nicely from that match. Glad to see.

WOOP WOOP, that's the sound of the police!
WOOP WOOP, that's the sound of the beast!

the campaign seems really slow, but it could be because i'm trying to arrest as many criminals as i can instead of just shooting them.

i was starting to enjoy the multiplayer when the servers kept crashing.

I am having a ton of fun on this right now! I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this. In my experience this is some of the smoothest net code I've felt in a long time.

If anyone wants to play add me on XBONE

it only seems smooth because they lowered the amount of health you have.

Play as the Enforcer and get a riot shield, you can get badass heavy rifles and it's harder to get shot in the back. :V

Or another piece of advice: Keep your eye on the minimap to study where the flow of battle is coming from. And you should really begin to use silencers, when you see how much of a difference it makes you also learn what the consequence of going loud is.
