Edit: this is fake

Who would've guessed Konami execs were huge David Hayter fans?

Seriously though, Kojima is one of the last AAA game creators that (for better or for worse) controls the overall tone and feel of the game and leaves the gamer knowing there was a single vision behind production.

If you read between the lines its clear kojima's home planet has come under attack by a flock of 6 foot pigeons, he's got to go home and defend his land people. Its unfortunate.. but these things happen.

That's pretty good coverage for something that was clearly put together relatively quickly. It also brings up points which I don't think anyone mentioned in this thread yet. A bit of investigation shows that the logic matches up.

Organizational Restructuring (Effective March 16, 2015)
We are shifting our production structure to a headquarters-controlled system, in order to establish a steadfast operating base capable of responding to the rapid market changes that surround our digital entertainment business.
Production Division 1(New Division)
Production Division 2(New Division)
Production Division 3(New Division)
Production Management Division(New Division)
Sales Division(New Division)
Public Relations and Promotion Division
Intellectual Property Division(New Division)

Look at the date. That would mean that this organization restructure went into effect on Monday. This would also explain why Kojima Productions has been effective removed as a branding. The emphasis on KONAMI above all.

It's also worth looking at this press release announcing the release date of MGSV: http://www.konami-digital-entertain...se/2015/0305/?cm_sp=01-_-release-_-20150305-e

Notice that the entire press release doesn't mention Kojima's name once, nor does it mention Kojima Productions. It even says the Fox Engine is developed by KONAMI. Which lines up with the HQ-driven reorganization.
