Did you check your storage at the hub area? I'm pretty sure the extras you get after you cap out at 20 all go to the box and it holds them up to 99.

He thinks its due to audio going to his playstation headset, and he's in party chat. I don't know if thats the actual problem or not though.

Hes running it through his gold headset and using party chat so it might be causing issues at the moment.
Edit: beaten. I am sure there has to be an option to capture audio when in party chat and using a headset. Not familiar with the elgato

I think that
is going to be this games' Capra Demon. Basically, it'll be where all the newcomers decide to rage quit and give it a try a few years later. Or they'll just sell the game.
