Amazon right now has Japanese Shulk for $29.89 with prime. I know that's not cheap but it's way cheaper than what other places or people want and you'll get it right away. Just throwing that out there for those wanting one.

My FedEx tracking said Tuesday. Walmart said Mar 27-30. I was pretty surprised they arrived already.
EDIT - oh and for what it is worth...anyone who has FedEx tracking, I believe it says the box is 6x6x6 from what I've heard. But they came in 8x6x4 boxes. No packing material other than a piece of what looks like tissue paper around it. But they came out in perfect shape.

I don't understand how anyone could like the Super Mario series better. They look Fisher Price to me next to the way more detailed smash line. I guess as far as Mario figures go they are probably among the best out there (although I really liked the mini figure collection a lot). I think I'll stop at wave 1 for the Super Mario series though.

The only SMB line amiibo I like better than their SSB counterpart is the bowser one. The look on his face is priceless to me

I fixed it for you:
Smash Peach >>>>>>> Party Peach (this is a huge drop)
Smash Yoshi = Party Yoshi (pretty much the same, both are good)
Smash Bowser = Party Bowser (its pretty much the same pose)
Smash Luigi <<<< Party Luigi (the arm up to his face and still getting the paint right is really cool)
Smash Mario =< Party Mario (depends on mood...but Party is classic Mario)
Just kidding on fixing yours but thats how I would rate them. The Party Peach is garbage to Smash Peach. Luigi got a great change, I like it better than the plank pose. The rest are really just pose changes. Peach just really disappointed me. Hope this is not a trend

I think it very much is a trend.
The Smash line will be the last one with the high amount of detail, it is the main cause of the short supply. They are hand painted and the manufacturing process is slower for them.
These SMB ones are simpler and easier to manufacture. We will see all future lines use the same methods of production.
The Smash line will be the only one with this amount of detail.

Doesn't even matter. MP Bowser looks odd as fuck. The lighter yellow looks cheaper, as do all the obvious part splits, like the one on his jaw and his legs. Also his right shoulder looks odd as fuck.

So that Target 25% deal would still apply to the $9.99 characters, right? Because if I can get DK for ~$7.50, I'm down. Last wave 1 I need haha.
Bowser's chrome turned white too. Despite the simpler design, If I was to display Bowser at eye-level or below, I'd go with his SMS pose because he's looking forward and he's bigger. But since I have him about about a foot above eye-level, the downward glare of his smash version, along with his superior coloring, makes for a much more menacing impression.

Only thing about Smash Peach is her weird face. Something didn't translate there (some of it is how lots of paint jobs just gave her a pink line mouth rather than lips). All the other Mario line Amiibos are better in the Smash line though, imo.

Am I crazy or will the regular Mario from the Mario Party 10 bundle be kinda rare too? Isn't that the only way you can get that Mario?

It's already packaged within the Mario Party box (people have been smart, and have already put them on ebay fetching a price of $40+). It's scheduled to be released on it's own some time in April if the dates are correct on reddit. So... Buy Mario party, sell the Mario which discounts the game cost, then re-buy the figure when it comes out.
That being said, you'd have to really like the Mario Party game to benefit from such a move. The reviews haven't been pleasant.

Seems like Fred Meyer was the only place even stocking the Super Mario Line.
Peach was the most plentiful, but man, there's such major differences between the amiibos.
I opted out on Yoshi because I didn't like the fact that the white on his neck was off and over the place, and the fact that he had glue on his eye

The rest of my Mario Party wave shipped from Gamestop. Now about those wave 4 preorders.
They were all in stock when i last went , these are the mains amiibos for all the future Mario titles not just Mario Party 10 so it s safe to assume that none of these will reach rare status ,not even toad.
Nope just Nintendo Marketing coming into effect, the cure is for you to come into realization that truly only of each character is needed that is if you are interested in them for thier functionality in game.
However if you are a completetionist collector, then collecting all the amiibos seems fine.
Only help you need is to step away from Amiibo collecting communities for awhile. People constantly posting how they got all of them and posting collection pics subtly influences you to do the same.
'Course, if you're ever away from the thread, you might miss Wave 4...
That I am. I only planned on going all out for the Smash line though!

Surprised to find a Fox still hanging around at a Best Buy. Picked him up along with Mega Man.
My Toad came from Amazon and he has a smudge of white paint on his left shoe. It looks bad:/ I'll probably return it and grab one from a store. He doesn't look super rare.

You need to return that unused oil filter and clean that counter but you cannot conjure the motvation to do so? I agree.

Well to be honest Gold Mario, Non Gold Mario, WFT, Toad, and SMB Luigi are all on the way... I just dont like SMB Peach and as much as I want to like Villager I just don't like him even if Villager were common I think I would not buy it I know its sacrilege. I have an addiction.

But then MP10 is marketed to families with younger children while Smash U was marketed to young adults, so it makes sense to soften them up and stick to bright, simple paint jobs. They did the right thing, but I have no interest in them, other than toad.
