Ive never seen a single episode of it.
It's 5:30 and I just finished my research paper. My head hurts and now I can't sleep.
I didn't watch it till after it was over so maybe not having to wait every week for an episode made me not hate it.

It works if you stop halfway through the six-season run and think the people who act the most insane probably are. Beyond that, it crawls up its own ass with muddled sci-fi and schlocky sentiment.

One of those shows where the end makes sense but at the same time getting to the ending was a total cluster fuck..the first 2 season some of the best TV i have ever seen, the rest of seasons, meh..

Maybe casual isn't the right word. We're talking people who would pick up and play a couple games a year, but were pretty much sticking to madden/halo/mass effect.
They were asking because I was playing them at the time. It was an easy sell though because they were usually playing most games together in college.
On a separate note; I don't think that difficulty is the only draw for these games. They have a lot of detail, great atmosphere, and are able to portray a story without saying much of anything.
With that said though, I can very very easily see why anyone might dislike the games completely. Different strokes.

Souls games are perfect for the hardcore gamer who grew up and doesn't have time but for casual gaming. You can play for 5-20 minutes at a time if you want, maybe beat an area you'd failed at 30 times previously, and get a real sense of achievement out of it. Very smart game design in that regard.

Are you talking about kb+m? I think I've only seen people play it with a 360/xbone/PS4 controller hooked up to their PC. I can't imagine kb+m would work that well with the Souls games but I can't say for sure.

Sometimes I wish GAF wasn't anonymous and online, but a real meeting place.
Spending a minute there would probably leave me so disgusted that I could quit without a problem. Now it's just these random reminders every now and then about the people we spend time with...

I'm skeptical, but man it would be great if Kap took a step forward this year in these areas. His physical skills are just insane, it'll be a shame if they do end up going to waste for the most part.
