Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition trailer

I´m more interested to know why vergil is still alive,dmc3 vergil is excellent but i expected a few changes in his appearance, some new clothes at least.
It's probably pre-DMC3.

Though him fighting the Scarecrows in the cutscene makes things weird.

Better to ask for new weapons for Nero as he actually needs it.

Godamn it i was
i'm still
so salty when i saw Nero using Yamato during cut-scenes but then they didn't let me use it in game!

Making a weapon set for Nero would not be that hard, just follow Vergil model, that is:
-Red Queen
-Yamato
-Yamato+Red Queen

I noticed Kazuma Kaneko is being credited. Are they reusing Vergil's DMC3 devil trigger design then?

Edit: woops seems like I'm late to that.

What are you talking about? Yamato is used during Devil Trigger.

So... not much story for Vergil...
I just want them to confirm in-game that he's Nero's father (so that this is finally put to rest once and for all). They can put it in the ending... I don't care. And then a teaser to confirm that he's alive after DMC1.... coming back for fucking DMC5!

Here we go.

I am thinking what alt outfits they could do for all these characters, heres an obvious one:

latest

Also Vergil should get DmC outfit, DMC3 Vergil totally pulls off that coat

Even though people would hate if this had dlc, I kind of hope they keep adding stuff after launch so we have more stuff to play with before DMC5.

I disagree. The dice
cut
scene with Dante was class. He was having none of that nonsense.

I do like the subversion of the dice game where Dante just slices it in two, whereas Nero spent all his time playing along with it. It highlighted the power difference a bit. Even so, it wasn't worth having the dice game in there.

The dice game was clearly trying to play into the "gambling" theme of DMC4, and how most moves have some sort of poker or gamble connotation, but its inclusion really hurt the game.

He's right tho.

Edit:

Yeah, definitely. I'm glad there's a way to guarantee what number you end up with. If it weren't for that, M19 would've been unbearable.

Hopefully, that trick is still in DMC4: SE. Or better yet, we'll get an actual level to go through, but that sounds like a little too out-of-bounds for the requirements of this SE.

EDIT: Or this:

New Nero cutscene where he cuts it in half as well..

I still think the best solution to the dice game would be to essentially turn it into a combat adjucator. Combo it enough and it'll break, giving you access through. The minigame itself is still there if you're so inclined to go through it, and there's a shortcut that plays on the games core mechanics. It's a win-win.

The dice part wasn´t that bad or annoying imo
You only have to hit it when the number you need appears, pretty simple.

I think everyone in here knows the trick. It's just disruptive, serves no purpose, and kills the pacing rather than providing the intended variety.

Yah but the dice game sucks for people new to the game, and once you learn the trick the dice becomes an easily exploitable gimmick. So might as well remove it.

Even if you know the trick, it's a tedious mini game that is an obstacle standing in your way from getting to the meat of the game. It's no fun watching that dice roll every time, then the piece moves to the color spot and then the next sequence happens. Boring as fuck.

Vergils badass enough to pull a Kratos and fight back from hell right?
just do that

nelo angelo literally blew up in DMC1.
the order also used parts of him in DMC4 to make the angelo enemies.

he's not stuck in the underworld like kratos was, so if they write him back in to DMC5 it'll be some other way

I guess they could retcon Nero Angelo into being a vessel for his spirit rather than his actual body; which returned his soul to hell after its destruction. The Order using the remains to manufacture Angelos would still make some sense - regardless of whether it's Vergil's actual body or not, it'd still be one of Mundus' most powerful creations.

With the preorder costumes, doesn't it already have some DLC? I could see them continuing based on that, but it does run counter to the entire branding as a definitive edition. Though this is still Capcom, of course.

So since Vergil will play through both campaigns will they get rid of the gyro blades? I wonder how the bushido mechanic will work, will it require holding down the exceed trigger to charge up moves in a string?

DMC3's boss rush isn't just the best boss rush design in the series, it's the best one of all time. Such a smart design for initial playthroughs, for unlocking the blue orb fragment, and for later playthroughs where you really know what you're best at and can style hardest on (NOT GERYON LOL).

Sucks that the chess battle is in the same chapter.
