The loading screens get in the way seriously bad. 1 minute or so per death. 1 minute or so every time you visit the resting area. I hope a thing like this can be patched.

Good call.

Don't forget that Souls games don't have linear progression. If an area seems too tough, just go explore somewhere else and go back when you're stronger.

After landing the fully charged R2. wait for the enemy to crumple to the ground. Then walk up and R1. You shouldn't be mashing R1 after the R2 or you'll just knock them out of the crumple animation.
