Second stage of boss 2 what to do? He's too damn fast for me to throw fire on him and his attacks knocks me down followed by a combo that can basically kill me off. Just lost all my health potions so now I gotta farm that as well .____.

The fact that he is so relentless works against him, since you CAN parry the boss. Give it a shot (literally). If you found a certain sidequest item it helps a lot, too.

Yay, I did it. Finally killed my first "Souls" boss. ;o heh.

I am absolutely terrible at this game. Took me like 10 mins to figure out how to equip weapons. Now I'm in Yharnam just killing the same stuff over and over until I get ganked by the ritual dudes lol. I've avoided the brute with the cleaver, he decapitated me once already, fuck that guy
If you're on the dudes around the bonfire, try
just running past them up the stairs on the left. Most of them won't follow you for a long distance.

Meat cleaver guy is good practice for learning how to dodge attacks.

anyone having problems getting it on line mine says i have to play offline because its not done installing yet it says its finished installing in the notifications

Went to gamestop on lunch, sold out
Ended up getting a digital code from them

Punched it into my phone right there, wasn't taking no chances

so uh. there was one shortcut i was missing in central yharnam. i knew it, but didnt take the time to find it. went on through the game.

turns out theres an NPC behind the shortcut gate I had to open.

her parents went missing. dad first, then mom went to go find him. the little girl wanted me to find a red jewel brooch (i had already used it at this point on my weapon). She gave me a music box that played a tune that her father loved. I remember hearing the music box makes the second boss transform faster and it stuns him occassionaly.

so... Father Gascoigne was the father and ended up killing the girl's mom basically? Fuck. I'm fucking heartbroken.

This is why Miyazaki and his stories are some of the most under rated in gaming. I'm devestated right now.

Yo! I can fight the last boss Yoshi lol. But I missed so many other things that I will take care of them first.
Jesus Mendrox, you demolished BB! :D I'll be watching every single minute of your VOD when I'm done!

It seems my spectors are broken. I click view spector and the little skeletons just go into the ground and no ghost pops up. Anyone else having this problem?

Just ordered the amazon.de steelbook version even though i already have a digital version and a JP first print version on the way. Holy fuck it's pretty, after seeing it itt i had to order. Dat auto conversion increase lol.

Wait, I just got past that boss and never found that girl. Where is she at?

Really great so far. Just made it to the first
elevator
past the first boss.

I'm already impressed by how well the area folds in on itself. I keep waiting for the next lantern to show up only to get a shortcut back to the lantern I already had, eliminating the need for a new one. It's great.

And I love the trick weapons. Being able to seamlessly switch between axe and halberd is so much fun. And I think the gun is really cool as a shield substitute. In Dark Souls I almost never parried and always hid behind my shield. Having no shield, but still being able to parry really encourages me to be more active in battle.

I will say that it's absurd how many blood vials they throw at you. It seems well balanced enough right now, though. Enemies are aggressive enough that sometimes I don't even have time to use my blood vials, so it's not a big deal that I've got 20 of them. I've died enough to not feel like the game is a pushover. So I hope that balance remains for the rest of the game.

The first boss was great. His attack patterns were tough to figure out, but not impossible. And it's great that we can counter bosses in this game. Was that even possible in the other games?

But yeah, I really like it so far. Hopefully it keeps up throughout.

Guys, do you carry around extra armour that you are not wearing or should I stick it in storage? Bought the hunters armour set from the vender in nexus which is better than the starting stuff.

What's the best starting weapon for a skill based character? I'm new to Souls and picked "Professional" as my starting class, but went with the Axe and Blunderbuss. Which sounds like probably a bad idea in hindsight. I only played up to the first check point. Is it worth just re-rolling and selecting other options if I'm going skill focused?

Also, just so I'm on the right page. A skill focused character would be higher in speed but do less damage? That sounds more of my style.

Yeah, I think that's accurate. The cape thing though is just a gesture.

Yeah...and he was asking about the
badge, not the cape.
Haha, so I was wondering why you were trying to correct something that wasn't inaccurate.
