Are you talking about
the giant hand that grabs you and takes you up in the air and kills you?

No I was talking about how if he kills you,
you get a first-person cutscene of him putting you in the bag and
then you're taken to a
dark, hellish prison in an unknown part of the city, totally seperate from all the other areas yet explored.

Just got my copy of BloodBorn! Hypeeeee :D

God damn. I gotta do this. You go to the door straight from the lamp?

Played all afternoon. Really fun and the combat if fluid and quick, I keep thinking I can raise my shield. The load times are rediculous and I feel like it really kills the flow at times. I also accidentally got to the second boss. No fog game or anything and lost a shit ton of souls. Then I went to the first boss again no fog game and got killed. Went back to the first boss a second time and now there was a fog gate. Wtf!!

So I was thinking about it today in the shower, that the motion controls must only be triggered when you hold down a button. Turns out that button is X, in case anyone wasn't aware :P

Thank you! I thought it was just triggering randomly and thought maybe it was a bug.

Do you just tap R1 for counter shot or do you hold it/ use directional input? Or perhaps the windows quite tight on it?
You mean the finisher after staggering something? You just tap R1, but you need to wait till whatever you stunned slumps down a bit

Rule of thumb, stun > wait till the enemy falls on it's knees > R1

Sorry, wasn't trying to troll you. You're supposed to be
taken to a seperate prison area, which is pretty cool.

This is the big blue guy wandering around? I let him kill me and just respawned at the Cathedral Ward lamp. Did you close the gate near him? Weird.

Yeah, but make sure the tall, blue skinned guy with a bag over his shoulder is there. I have heard rumors you have to kill (boss)
Bloostarved Beast
before these guys show up but I really don't know yet.

Father Gascoigne's AI needs to be patched, I just discovered an "exploit" where you can cheese him pretty much until he
transforms

The exploit is
After you attack him when he does his three hit combo, he'll dash back & shoot with his gun, but his AI will trigger that action every time you hit him during that combo OR after shooting his gun, so if you attack once after his three hit combo, dash forward & you'll avoid his gunshot & then hit him ONCE, he'll dash back & shoot his gun again, so dash towards him again to avoid the gunshot & hit him ONCE, he'll keep doing that until he transforms his axe, at the point you just repeat the exploit by countering his three hit combo, that exploit obviously doesn't work after he transforms into a beast

The game so far is amazing. finished DS and DS2 but they didn't give me the same enjoyment I'm having now with Bloodborne. But there is only one thing I have been complaining about in DS and DS2 and still it's in Bloodborne which is platforming. From Software can't do it right and still they include it in every game! maybe some people will disagree but I find it annoying and unnecessary.

I am going to need tips on the threaded cane. The base form is a rapier which I love but the trick form is a whip and I can't seem to get a handle on it. Is it just meant to be used to poke slower enemies down?

Yeah, if you buy a digital copy, the PS4 can download (seemingly faster) in rest mode.

Here's another guide you can read: http://www.craveonline.com/gaming/a...your-starting-class-and-weapons-in-bloodborne

Ignore the part where they recommend the threaded cane as a beginner's weapon. Go with the Saw Cleaver instead.

You have to tell me how the game sounds with the HD800 :)

Thanks mate! Haha the 800s and LCD3/EL8s are in another room ;). I do have a 1500w subwoofer and good 5.1 setup for bloodborne though !

Ok I haven't got to that boss yet.

Confused, is there anywhere to go after (3rd boss)
blood starved beast
or do I need to explore somewhere else? Didn't realise I had other options

I didn't die until I ran into those
werewolves? on the bridge
in the starting area. Those guys don't play around.
yeah, me too. After dying 6 times i lvld up and lured on down the stairs to the fountain. there i had room. use the gun to stagger them.
You can explore most of the lvl without going to them (if you unlock the shortcuts).

since Amazon boned me out of getting my CE today I went picked up a copy at Target because I'm an impatient dude.

it was worth it tho...game is fucking incredible.

Cane: treat it as a shortsword, use it in close quarters / 1v1 scenarios
Whip: Crowd control, use it to fight groups of enemies or to attack things out of their range

I'm a Souls series veteran and the game is handing me my ass. Haven't even gotten to the first boss and I've received multiple beat downs. Some had me doing the typical Souls thing where you get so scared you start fumbling the controller and hitting the wrong buttons, bringing me back to the first time playing the series.
