Father Gascione FINALLY down. Jesus fucking Christ, that battle was bullshit. For a franchise defined by "hard but fair" I have to say that throwing a second boss at players that can jump on them from practically anywhere, knock them down, and give them no chance to recover before doing it all over again is bullshit. He basically one-shots you in beast form. Plus, movement is crazy limited. Make sure not to back up into one of the hundreds of gravestones or you're totally fucked. Goddamn, that sucked.
 
quick question, safe / smart idea to dump points into vitality and stamina first, to get a feel for weapons to see if I prefer STR or SKL?

The first form of that boss, just focus on staying mid range. Once he begins an attack animation, dash towards and to the left of him. You should end up right behind him. Attack twice and immediately dash left or right. You want to avoid his wake up shoot. Forget using the tombstones, only use them if you need to back away and heal. Instead try to just keep this loop going. He'll eventually go two handed, and there you'll want to be more careful because some of his attack animations hit behind him (where you'll be).

He'll then transform. Don't ignore the lock-on system. Instead go up the stairs and lure him there. Bait an attack and use the gun to stun him. There you'll be able to do your stun attack on his head for "massive damage". He'll then go berserk. Stay away and either wait till its done, or sneak in some throwing knives (rats give) or oil/fire combo.

I didn't use the music box. Took me three tries. I didn't know this strategy beforehand, its just what ended up happening as I adapted.

It's completely fair man you just have to learn it.
Hell you can just let them go around destroying gravestones to make it an easier fight if the terrain is problematic

True. I killed the first boss on my first try. The second is destroying me.
He attacks non stop. I can't do anything but try to dodge, run out of stamina and get hit. But i think it's just a matter of parrying his attacks. But i'm usually on panic mode. lol
 
So the doors where you can talk to people, does what they say ever change? Cus I feel like ever time I run past one I go up to it and it's usually the same. :P

Some farming will need to be done to at least fight with those overpowered mobs , my lvl 45 hunter did not do well at all. Spank me more pls BB.

Quick question - do I lose all my equipped vials/bullets if I die? Is it better to leave a majority in storage?

How do I let him go around destroying stuff? Once in beast mode I'm the only thing he's gonna try and hit. Maybe I'm just sour because I spent longer on the second boss of this game than I've spent on any Souls boss ever.
 
I was wearing the Yharnan Hunter Cap for awhile so decided to take it off. My face is bloody around the eyes where the mask had the openings but the rest of my face is clean.

Gotta love that shit

Brick Troll knocking on that large door
around that fountain in Central Yharnam is a
torch
. I use that, but only for the house that is completely dark. Although I do go there often because its a good place to get blood vials.
 
So I'm in Old Yarnham and occassionally the game will hang for half a second and make a buzzing noise. Which is making me quite nervous that my PS4 is dying... anyone else get it?
 
First time souls player, just beat the second boss. Been playing for almost five hours now. The first two were tough, it's like when your dad throws you into pool for the first time and you struggle mightly until you finally start to float out of desperation.

But now I'm swimming like a champ and having a blast!
 
Guys I'm stuck

I think he's an NPC hunter and he has shotgun and a sword gun thing. Keep shooting me and dodging all my attacks, Died about 6 times and packed it in for the night, to try again fresh tomorrow. There was another hunter with him who had like an electric mace but I killed him easily. Near the well.

any advice?
 
I keep getting starting in offline mode as game has not been fully installed even though my download is finished and everything
 
Wow. I just lost 10k blood due to something I could do literally nothing about. People say when you die in these games it is entirely your fault but that isn't true all the time.
