Man
Amelia
is totally fucking me up. I can't seem to get the timing down on any of her attacks. They're so telegraphed but the
front pound
has such an awkward timing to it and I keep missing the dodge.

Any tips?
I'm guessing the best thing to do is stay in front as generally all of her attacks swipe at her side and she's weak in the head, but I can't seem to avoid getting punished for attacking and I keep missing the timing on the front smash.

How the hell are you supposed to beat him? Parrying seems effective but then he just goes into berserker mode and I can't heal the poison fast enough.

Wow....so it seems that a video signal gets sent out right during the second boss cut scene....and shuts off my surround sound lol wtf.

Also the code word search for coop doesn't seem to work. Do you need an item to be summoned as well? If so where can I get said item to help gaffers

WOW. Second attempt on Cleric Beast, doing okay so far. Go to pick up the 10 Quicksilver bullets and get knocked between stairs and a little statuette thing. Stuck. Can't move. Panic. Start rolling, sprinting, anything can't get out. Trying everything, wasting Blood vials, shooting at him letting him hit me anything to get out.

Can't believe I died because I got stuck between geometry. :/ really soured my mood.

You didn't find any antidotes along the way to cure the poison in the fight?

im useless once he
transforms
. what do you do then? seems like he's in berserker mode 100%.

If you use the music box it will stun him for a significant period of time and you can wail away or setup a backstab. You'll still have to dodge him a bit first though.

This game seems to be everything I hoped it would be. Which makes it GOTY -material for me. From Software is the greatest in world-building and creating tense atmosphere - and man, this time the monster-design is crazy good ( visually ). Just beat Cleric on the first try - so good.

Can't wait to play more tomorrow.

Make space. Don't lock on because you will need to roll to actually dodge stuff. His moves have a lot of recovery so you can get some hits in. His combos are fast but the big moves have decent tells so you can roll away. I managed to stun him easily during the combos since he throws out several attacks in a row so you can find the timing easily. Level up to get more stamina if you need to.

The lack of shield makes this game so intense. Just beat Cleric Beast on my first try with the pimp cane.

Can't wait til I find more gear to start playing that #FashionBorne

While this game is pretty fun, the beginning is pretty ass. No leveling up yet and I have to go through the giant mobs of enemies to get back to werewolves every time I die = zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

There's a shortcut.
Just before the guy that's pounding on the door there's an area behind some boxes that you can drop down into. You can then open the gate that's at the top of the first ladder you climbed at get pretty much straight into the boss fight.

Also, this is how the Souls games are. Learn the mechanics and explore. Leveling up won't do you much good if you don't understand the fundamentals.

I'm watching some reviews, and god damn, the enemies design in this game are all so great!! I mean... artistically it seems it has everything right! Gorgeous enviroments, seems very immersive, enemies desing are awesome, the sound is astonishing. Really great artists worked in this game!

Those wolves don't mess around, Molotovs seem to work a treat though. Just found the shortcut to the Werewolf bridge so time to explore!

The spacing of the bonfires just doesn't fit my style at all. I'm probably going to start doubling back to spend souls because Im just not progressing at all and it's absurd.

So I finally started this game, and yeah...I'm impressed. It's amazing. I managed to beat the first boss [Cleric Beast] and am now working on trying to find out where to go next. I love the open-ended gameplay, it brings me back to the games of my youth. No hand-holding here, and I appreciate that!

One small quest, though. Gehrman disappeared for me in the Hunter's Dream. I never attacked him, talked to him a couple of times, but when I went back he wasn't there anymore. :/

Literally, constantly charge at him from the front. Don't go defensive or he'll get you. When you come at him straight from the front he will start doing telegraphed smashes with his right hand that are extremely easy to dodge and following up with dash + R1 attacks. Even when he's in poison mode keep charging right at his front and dodge the telegraphed attack that you force out of him. When hes in poison mode he has an additional 3-attack combo and a 5-attack combo that he can do when you charge from the front. As soon as his attack goes off you should recognize which one it is; on the 5-attack combo you'll probably have to dodge a second time because the 5th attack seems to go in your direction.

After the poison starts, I gave up even trying to parry, not worth it. Just dodge to the left and chip away.

These werewolves are fucking destroying me. I'm just trying to cheese them with firebombs at this point, but they still rush me and kill me. Only gotten past once.

The lack of bonfires is really killing my progression. I haven't accomplished a single thing so far.

I'm in the exact same situation. This is getting pretty frustrating.

Anyone wanna help me with pointing a direction on where to go after second boss? I am at the lantern just don't know where to go. I feel like I've hit dead ends on both directions.

What weapon are you using?
I was getting pretty frustrated using the axe. Switched to Sawblade and boom, made it to the first boss. Switch things up and try another weapon or build. Don't give up!
I began the game as a lone survivor using the cane and blunderbuss as I usually do best with speedy movesets. Instead of going on the bridge with the werewolves I keep going to the sewers where I can't keep the rats from ganging up on me every time. Idk if that's part of my problem or not.

You can drop down there, good to know. That makes it much quicker. The only route that I knew
was going left at the middle of the bridge after the wolves and down through the house towards the gate.

I'll try again since this thread is moving SO FAST

Im trying to play with a couple of friends with a password and its not working.

If I get it right we just need to set the same password and the host has to ring the big bell while the other two the small one?

WHAT THE HELL!??

A giant ghost appeared from nowhere, sent me flying up and crushed me. What is this madness!?

Father G is Fucking me up. Any good strats?

You can cheese his first form by making sure you have tombstones between him and you at all times. For the second form, use the music box the second he begins to transform, then offload a molotov or two. After that, I just kept my distance and kept throwing fire at him while healing any damage done.

This route gets you into that house as well, just from the bottom. You can actually go straight for the Priest this way too, if you want.

How can I repair my weapons?! The durability is almost gone and I haven't beaten Cleric Beast yet. Just been exploring the area and now my attacks aren't doing as much
