A few hours ago I was playing fine, I'd downloaded the update and was playing 'online' and everything. I quit to the main menu and put my system into rest mode and now this is what I get when I try to continue or load.

She will sometimes appear lifeless, and sometimes not. Can you still access her menu? If not, then that's a first. And a stupid decision that they didn't even do in Demon's Souls.

You can kill the leveling NPC in DS1 and DS2 as well as BB.

He's a cakewalk. To be honest I felt the first boss was a lot harder.

The threaded cane took some time to get used to, but damn it is so satisfying to use. Excellent for having multiple mobs rush towards you.

Perhaps it's the servers? I had an issue of the game detecting that I had PS+ for a while so I waited it out and it worked about 10 minutes later. Though, I'm assuming you might have been at this for a while.

That was lame. Underneath an elevator, there was ground visible about 15 feet below, so I assumed there might be something down there. Nope, insta-death. At least make it pitch black or a further fall IMO. This is in relatively early-game area

Seems like grinding on the same enemies continously won't give you any blood vials. Meaning blood echos are the only way to farm more vials. Fuck.

What? No that's not true—I had a specific farm route for blood vials which I did to help with Gascoigne. 6+ vials every time.

That boss has serious scaling problems during its final phase. Either you get lucky with the RNG and it keeps doing the move you can parry (which is what happens in the IGN video) or it goes mental.

So I beat Gascoine by just parrying into visceral attacks and then using the time that buys me to use the music box to pile on more damage. I found it very difficult, is there something to his attack patterns that I was missing or some special aspect to the fight?

I parried exclusively in the final stage on the balcony. Took about 4 parry attacks I think with the axe.

Guess I am gonna have to grind these blood vials. Which sucks because I know I got a ton of extra.

When you die, it replenishes up to 20 blood vials from your stash.

For people worrying about Blood Vials, Protip-The big titan guys always drop atleast 2 blood vials when killed(Unless they drop coins, which is rarely). The fastest way to stock up is use the light from Central Yharnham, take the left path you'll run into 2 hulks immediately, use the elevator and kill the hulk across the bridge, reset. atleast 6 vials each time.

you have to find the stump messenger...the gifts will be right in front of it

go into the house in the Hunter's Dream and go to the back exit and go to your right to find a secret path...you'll see it after following along a bit
