I never found it either. You should be fine. Have some Molotovs for when he's down to 25-30% health.
There's a staircase in that area. Get him up there. It makes the fight easier
WOOO. I BEAT HIM. Thanks guys.

I don't think enough people have the other item yet haha. How reliable is the summoning bell? I tried it twice and nobody came to my aide.
I just made it to the mansion in the first level without dying, and it feels like a major feat! I still did not find any lamps or gates to the first spawn area. I'm scared
Did I miss anything?
Anyone around lv 19 and by the 2nd bossup for some co-op and help me a little? Currently using password.Father Gascoigne
i feel like ive been playing for a long time after beating the second boss without having run into the third boss
i assume the third boss is inold yharnum?
I assume blood echoes taken from you reset if you die again without killing that enemy. Correct?
You haven't missed anything yet. You're close though.
You did... you get your first weapon at the very beginning of the game after you die for the first time. On the steps in the hunters dream there are 3 "bloodstains" (or w/e they are in this game) that let you pick your weapons.
Maybe like... 5 minutes into the game. ;-)
Sure was!
It also in the "I'm playing a new Souls game for the first time so I'm going to test all the buttons and see what they do" that you missed. ;-)
*Mind Blown*
Was this in one of the tutorial tips that I just missed?
Oh, thanks guys. I was surviving too well.Hunter's Dream. The things on the ground will let you pick one I think.
Yeah. Any help would be appreciated.![]()

I am still stuck in the first area... How do I get out? I keep dying....
I was thinking about getting the cane but you guys are making me change my mind.
No cane love here ?!
I really wanna use the cane tho .
I feel like I should ask: The sewer is on the right track towards the first boss right? Since you need to reach it to level up I don't want this to end up like Dark Souls where I ended up doing Blighttown before fighting the Belfry Gargoyles.

I see it, but the switch wont activate
So stop summoning partners?bosses with help from coop partners sure are easy
after soloing dark soul on my first playthrough, this is a cakewalk
Anyone worrying about the Cane, I've used it through the first two bosses and I love it.

Just beat Father Gascoine in about 90 seconds flat
Piece of cake compared to Cleric Beast
I have 10 insight now - how do I get the other type of summoning bell? I heard there's a shop in the hub somewhere?

Where are you stuck exactly? Remember to be patient with the enemies. Fight one or two at most at a time. Use pebbles to attract one from a larger group. Be careful as you move around and try to remember enemy placements. Do not ignore the enemies and try to get a drop on them so you don't have to worry about them later.
No, you've gone too far. Go back, to the bridge/highway with the wolves on it. On opposite side is the boss.
I keep respawning at the top of the first ladder that I climbed. Then I keep dying trying to progress forward through the mobs.
How do you throw a pebble?
Almost did the same thing until someone here told me I was heading towards the second boss. The first is atthe end of the bridge where the two wolves are.
5 bosses in and it's perfect. Axe and Cleaver. Pfft. Cane!!!! All the way!
So stop summoning partners?
damn.. wolves on the bridge eat my lunch.

You need10 Insight and then you can buy it from Messengers in the Hunter's Dream, along with other stuff, using Insight as currency. The bell itself costs 1 Insight but you need 10 to gain access to the shop (and you don't lose any of it).
