Looks like everyone is having a lot of fun. Still waiting for Amazon to ship my Collector's edition. Won't get it til Thursday. Ahhh, the misery...

Can someone post control tutorial video again for me? I want to know how to assign molotov cocktails to quick slot.

Edit: nvm. My question is already answered.

I keep respawning at the top of the first ladder that I climbed. Then I keep dying trying to progress forward through the mobs.

How do you throw a pebble?

I have the same issue, I can't seem to find the third lantern and I keep dying to
the two big wolfbeasts on the bridge
. I'm not even sure if I'm going the right way.

Yeah, turn back. Its
near the werewolves. On that same exact bridge actually.

I'm in the sewer now and I think I'm headed towards the second area.

So 1st boss is before you get the hunters outfit? on the bridge I took a shortcut, I did see something crawling on the right side, mayb that was the boss?

Hit the options button, go to the last row and equip a pebble in one of the slots. Down on the D-pad will scroll through those quick items. Press square to use the item.

Just remember with the mobs: take them one at a time. Don't rush in and fight 3 or 4 at a time. Try not to even fight 2 at a time.

Also, don't take the hits for granted. The mobs will go crazy on you and kill you really quickly. Dodge back and wait for an opening before you go in.

Blew up Father G again. I really do find Cleric to be a tougher fight, and a longer one, at that.

Hope rerolling for arcane works out.

I saw someone mention the term frame pacing in relation to the games frame rate being suspect. What is frame pacing, and how is it in play in Bloodborne?

Here's a tip.
If run run past the werewolves, you'll notice a stairway into a building to your left. Go in there and follow that path. It'll give you a shortcut back to the second lantern.

For those at the
cathedral ward, I saved a woman in Yharnam who showed up in the Ward and I then received an item called Triumph. But it's not in my inventory or elsewhere. What was this???

Its a new gesture. Open the gesture menu and hit the button to switch - should see it there.

to go assist someone else's game, you have to yourself ring an alternate "small helper bell" or whatever it's called. so both people ring their balls and the game matches them up.

the problem is they kinda hid this smaller bell item for helpers on an insight merchant that I didn't even know existed until 20 hours in. I suspect because of this lots of people don't know how to assist.

Where is the merchant? Haven't found any except in the rest area.

I think it's the fact that firearms can stun the Cleric Beast like...one time. While Gascoigne and company can get nailed by hot lead, and stunned over and over.

The first boss was too hard for me to solo so I summoned hunters to help. Even with 3 people, two of witch seemed pretty decked out, it was still a challenge.
I have to fight the bor or big beast and then the hunter boss

Fuck! I fell down and got jumped by
6 of those giant rats.
This is embarrassing. It's going to take forever for me to get to the second boss the way I keep on dying.

Assuming you've unlocked the shortcut from the bridge to the lamp (the one where you run through the house), if you come up on the bridge, to your left will be ravens and the orge thing and the right will be the two wearwolves, go left past the ravens and that's where the 1st boss is.

Also, its not before the hunter's outfit since that's a deadend anyway.

No pebbles in my quick items... Where do I get pebbles?

I've finished the second boss, and so far those two wolves are the hardest enemies in the game. I cannot get the timing down for stunning them with a pistol blast.

Backstab them. They're vulnerable after that large bite they do (the tell is when the rear up on their back legs). If you lure one over with a pebble you should have enough time to kill one before the other notices the fighting.

The crow monsters drop them. There's also quite a few bodies laying around that have them.

5 bosses in and it's perfect. Axe and Cleaver. Pfft. Cane!!!! All the way!
I switched to the saw blade...;(. The damn whip is too unreliable and hits the geometry too often for my tastes. That said, as I am a skill build I will try it again once the stat bonuses increase.

You have to assign them to your quick items from your inventory. They are found around the world. You might not have any.

The other way then to draw aggro of only one enemy is to slowly walk forward and kind of hope only one turns around. Alternatively, you can try swinging your sword from a bit further away and hope the noise attracts the attention of one or two enemies.

Try to position yourself in narrow areas where the enemies funnel towards you. This way you can do a horizontal attack and hit multiple enemies.
