Oh I know.
i have bad news
I need help! Still waiting at theblood starved beast
It opens up a new area near the cathedral.
Did you play DS1? If so, it's like the Crest of Artorias. It's an expensive key (at this point in the game), but it makes it getting to the next area very easy.
You can bypass needing the key by going through a different area and opening a short cut, but it's a lot more dangerous.
You don't need 10 insight to summon someone every time. Only 1 insight to summon, 10 insight to buy the other bell that lets you assist others.

Not needed, but more convenient.
I need a shield, really really bad.
I've sent to other people to the cathedral, they got there instantly. The girl not getting there might mean she my game got glitched or something happened to her. I would give her the brooch.
So far, besides the girl, I sent the old lady there (from the house near the dog cages). And I also sent the prostitute there, you can find her in the cathedral ward.
I don't recommend sending them to the clinic:bad things are going on there...

Never trust a soul's character that ends their dialogue with a weird laugh. EVER.
Probably discussed, but is view specter bugged? Not working for me.
Haha, I love GAF because of this kind of stuff. Feels like grade school in the SNES days where we drew maps and shit for our friends.
So I take it not many here have gotten past the Healing Church Workshop tower yet? Just trying to see if there's a path besides dropping down into it. It feels like the first poorly-designed part so far.
I can go to the area and try to ring the bell. But I have having issues connecting with people using the password :/I need help! Still waiting at theblood starved beast
Yeah that's it. We found it in the Forbidden Woods.![]()
I really hope I don't have to fight any of them...
The game is always online and auto saves every 10 seconds or something crazy. Don't worry about saves, I had it once where I turned off my PS4 right when I died and the next time I resumed the game it was at the YOU DIED screen.Noob question: How do you force a save/autosave? If I walk back to a lamp I don't see the autosave indicator appear
Also, the last game I played with loot was Diablo 3 which provided a really easy way to tell whether or not the loot I'm wearing is better or worse than the loot I'm looking at buying in a shop. Is there a way to have this same behavior in Bloodborne? I noticed the behavior once I had bought something and went into my inventory to equip it, but couldn't figure out how to do a comparison without actually buying
Aside from multiplayer purposes, what does insight do?

Wow, really? How else are you supposed to get in that area? The game keeps surprising me.
So I played for about 4 hours last night.
Some history, I played DS when it came out, probably got about a 3rd of the way in before quitting from frustration. Played Dark Souls but never got far and found it cumbersome. But this game.....this game is great in m eyes, I am in love. So much in love that I repeated the same area multiple times till I finally killed a ogre, then I finally killed some beasts. It felt rewarding, like I beat a game in it's own....then I got face punched by the Cleric in a few seconds. All the while with a smile on my face.
I might suck at this game right now, but I am getting better. I was so paranoid of fighting even a lowly human wandering around at first, now I walk over their corpses while I wipe the blood off my cleaver. Hopefully, with any luck I will feel the same way with the Cleric, after I die many times learning his little strategy.
Damn I am glad I bought this game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umDr0mPuyQcWell.. Ummm I hate to be the messager of bad news. lol I've yet to actually beat it yet though. I left it to return another time. It's in the nightmare region.
Yes! I knew it. Definitely got that vibe when she told me to send humans and they would be safe. Felt like this was the NPC turn for this game. I still will send some people there though, there might be some benefit or additional quest later, like in Dark Souls...?

If you go right from the cathedral, you go up an elevator to a tower. If you go down the tower (lots of dropping onto platforms here), you'll get to a small area. Explore this area and at the end you'll find an elevator which leads to the same area as what the key opens up.
The best part of these games is how much there is to discover. I only found out all this last night after going back much later in the game![]()
How?I was going to quit, but then I beat the first boss on the first try.
