It's gotta be Reverse Flash. Captain Cold is a ton of fun, but Wells is the best live-action comic book villain I've ever seen.

Reverse flash is currently winning by a million metric miles, but I'd be up for captain boomerang to get some serious nemesis action if only because the actor playing him is on my shortlist for dudes I'd cast in every villain role possible. His work as Ashur on spartacus was goddamn legendary.

Was it just me or did Eddie make a weird face as Barry and Caitlin walked away.

I saw that too. I even said, "Eddie doesn't buy it." He's a detective, probably a good one. He knows Barry has feelings for her, but he's smart enough to play along for now and keep an eye on the dude jonesing for his girl.

Cold, Reverse Flash, Boomerang and Weather Wizard 2 have been my favorite so far. Pied Piper was good but he didn't get to do much. Can't wait to see more Grodd.

Man, I loved how Barry just rolled right in on Weather Wizard while he was just chillin' and reading the paper. "You can't get away with this! I'll make a tsunami and wipe out the city!" Ha!

At the same time, though, we're back to him being just unwilling to disarm Cold just like that, huh? And he couldn't just follow Cold's car after he escapes? You're the Flash! Weather Wizard got to you by following your car just "yesterday" (alternate today), and you can't do the same thing?

Left out Trickster, Grodd, and Bug Eyed Bandit since we haven't gotten their episodes yet.

I was seriously expecting captain cold to say I have no idea who that is after getting flash identity from Cisco. There was some episode in jlu where lex is in flash body and says I have no idea who that is

Reasonable episode, but not great - though it was very hard to top last weeks.

Really didn't like the gold gun at all, not only did it look silly its also completely ridiculous - these people still need to steal when they have unlimited gold from a gun?.

They steal cause it's fun. Cold says it outright in his talk with the Flash...

This episode was pretty chill.

Decent episode.

Miller was by the far the star of the episode. He's just fantastic as Cold, I love how cheesy his performance his. Just perfect.

Damn, Barry. You're dropping Linda for Iris? I don't even know any more. What the fuck man. And Iris shot you down? Goddamn, son, but it's interesting, we're seeing the little changes coming in from Barry changing the future.

And the bigger change with Cold and co returning, but some things stayed the same like the story about Stagg. I really like how they handled Barry changing events.

Gold gun was ridiculous. Just..ridiculous. Seems gold really is a difficult colour to nail with CG though, It looked similarly bad in Smaug.

So the face turn from Cold was just bizarre as hell. Am I the only one who felt it came out of literally nowhere? So random...felt shoehorned to

And man, RF was creepy as hell.

Well damn, Barry is onto Wells/RF.

He's Harrison Wells. He knows everything. I'm sure he's bugged certain suspicious people who might be catching onto him.

Also speedforce.
I can't recall, did Barry ever actually mention anything about Mason? If not, maybe he's bugged?

Though if the latter is true, that also means Wells knows Barry is on to him.

Of course the fact that Mason has been following Wells means he's likely aware of it. Wells isn't a newbie here. He probably cases the joint wherever he goes.

Either way I'm glad it looks like the crazy reveals from Out of Time are going to actually unfold in the new timeline, and fairly quickly. My main concern with the 'reset' was a feeling they gave us this awesome taste of what's to come, but then were going to put the genie back in the bottle ... potentially for quite a while. That that would be the long game for the show, eventually reaching that point again in the new timeline, but potentially taking many episodes (or even seasons) to finally get back there.

We've grown accustomed to how fast this show progresses, and it felt like they were about to let us down. Seems to not be the case though, and we're going to get there soonish?

Man, this episode undone a lot of good shits from last episode. I mean it's not bad, but most of the exciting development from last week were just gone. Damn time traveling.

edit: And man, Flash and Rogues Gallery's gentleman agreement to not kill.

How do we know the Wells we saw in this episode isn't the same from when Cisco was killed, maybe he ran fast as well?

Probably not? His stated goal is to get back to his timeline, which means it's unlikely he can pull off time travel? Granted maybe it's possible he can make small jumps? Until there's any evidence though, I'm guess he simply can't at all.

The Iris storyline annoys the everliving poop out of me. It's clear from all the cockblocking that she's the kind of person that only wants something when it's hard to get/someone else can't have it. Chick probably cheered internally when Barry broke up with Linda but in doing so Barry pretty much ruined any shot he had post travelling back. I don't even know why he wants her neither, she's so far below his level in every aspect of being a decent human being that it's kind of funny. I actually thought this episode was a step back in other aspects too considering how good the previous one was, I don't understand his deal with Snart either. Go ahead commit as many crimes as you want dude, just don't kill anyone seems like a shitty ass deal to make, even with his identity being revealed hanging over him. It seems even odder that he only made one halfassed attempt at travelling back in time again but I guess they don't want completely blow open that box in season 1 because it's all downhill for flash storylines the second he starts jumping through time like Dr.Who on crack.

Barry needs to start a Relationship-GAF thread.

I love the Rogues. Truly, I do. Why do I feel, though, like this episode and the last one (involving the Rogues) have been really weak? Like, they need to figure out a better way to make the Rogues on Barry's level. Whatever they're doing, I don't think it's working.
Have we reached peak projecting?

I'm half expecting someone to slip up and accidentally type out their high school crush instead of Iris one of these days.
One day. One day...
You know what I really like about this show? looks like everybody is having fun playing their characters.
Absolutely. That's why I can't understand the dislike for the Rogues. Look at those guys! They're having so much fun!
How do we know the Wells we saw in this episode isn't the same from when Cisco was killed, maybe he ran fast as well?
Because the whole point of Wells facilitating Barry's development is so he can unlock time travel for himself. If Wells could go fast enough to negate Barry's time travel, but still maintain his own conscious presence regardless of Barry's alteration of events, then what would be the point of his plot? Surely he could unlock it himself at that point. Even if he couldn't, you're saying that Wells would've expected Barry to time travel in a situation that Wells himself had no awareness of and then, at the right moment, accelerate himself to somehow negate what Barry did. Or, you're saying that Wells just happened to be traveling fast enough to somehow negate Barry's timeline alterations, but still end up in the exact same position as before.

I'm guessing you've never read any Flash comics.

Ok, I know it's a comic book show, and a cartoonish one at that, but how the hell does that gold gun work?

I can buy a heat and cold gun, heating up or freezing things, but how is there a gun that shoots gold, and lots of it?

Yeah, that annoyed me too.

Maybe it's not gold gold, but the colour of whatever it shoots out just happens to be that of gold?

Cisco is totally in the wrong field of business. Dude should be billionaire, he should own his own Star Lab. Dude whipped out extremely effective weaponry in no time at all from scratch, he should at least run military complex company or patent them for other practical use (cold gun for firefighting? food industry?)

Either way, it's still an alchemy gun and has no basis of existing in the Flash universe set up by the show. Especially following Wells last week saying Cisco's good, but not that good. Uh, apparently he is that good.

You'd almost think that Wells has a secret agenda and needs to keep Cisco down or something.

Agreed. Hopefully it's never referenced again, it's a stupid gun. They should have just given her another cold gun that had some kind of additional function.

Just wait until Mirror Master shows up and is given a 'Mirror' gun that creates a door to the 'Mirror World.'
Nah, they don't need to. Remember how the decades-old mirror at Barry's old house magically picked up a 3D image of the time Barry's mom died? That's Mirror Master foreshadowing, right there.

That's Flashpoint foreshadowing right there.

Slow-acting mirror poison.

BARRY'S MUM: Right on time!

Snart's sister was Roger's sexy 2nd wife on Mad Men. That's where she looked familiar.
If you watch much sci fi stuff, especially stuff that gets cancelled, you've probably seen her around.

She was one of the main characters in Flash Forward and The Tomorrow People, and had a bit part in Smallville way back when (Lucy Lane)

Episode was great but the gold fun was a bit much and they really made Cisco look like a bigger genius then Tony Stark or whatever. They should try to make it a little more believable.

Next episode looks great and has me excited! Show in general has been on a non-stop winning streak!
