I thought the hitbox was broken on the katanas the Shadow of Yharnam bosses were using. But if I'm correct -- the katana literally extends it's reach, stretching out on what appear to be charge attacks. I assume once I kill these fuckers I'll be able to purchase a katana from the merchant at the Dream Refuge. Because I fucking want one, so bad. Been rolling with the Saw Cleaver (+5) and swapping out my secondary weapon for KirkHammer or the greatsword/longsword weapon, now I've got the electric one too, so that might get some play later. But as an Uchigatana user for most of the old games -- the idea of a Bloodborne katana get's me the fuck off!

Huh, thanks. Seems like you have to be pretty exact, no wonder I was having trouble.

Let me know if you make it, that drawing was from memory, it's a really hard to describe but you should see the platform if you miss and know where to aim. Its really tiny.

Undersells Bloodtinge man

I really want to explore more on how far guns can be taken and how effective they can be.... And i think most people dont even know about the blood bullet mechanic

Im gonna make another character and pump Bloodtinge to play around with this

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU i'm low on antidote as well now ç_ç

You can buy them in HUnters Dream if you have the right badge

I got
Ludwig's holy blade
last night and it's so good. I think I'm off the team cane train for good.

That transformed moveset is too good.

Yeah, I have the same problem.
There are two items btw.
I can only get one item up there, but I can't get the other from the farther side.

The 1st beam is accessible by going outside and climbing up to the gatling gun guy.
But don't actually go all the way up. Look to your right, and there should be a ledge where you can jump off to get to access the roof part of that blood ritual place.
The problem is that you can only get a hold of one item that you saw...then your OCD will kick in where you realize there is another on the other side.
And that is where I am stuck too.

I just did it. It's easier than I thought, problem is I'm always overthinking stuff when it comes to Souls games! Lol! The item is just a messenger skin.

Go to the gatling gun hunter ladder and head right just as you said. Walk on the beam towards the inaccessible item.

Now is the important part: Instead of trying to roll or jump from the beam to the platform with the item, just fall to the platform directly below the beam.

This platform is much wider and is possible to run on it, go to the opposite edge of this wider platform start running and make a hard turn to the right when you're close to the inaccessible platform and jump.

If you time it right you can do it. As I said it's nothing special, just a messenger skin. Not a weapon of a character costume.

My problem is that I was trying to jump from the beam but it's impossible. Just fall to the platform below the beam and jump from there.

Run and jump. You need to run along the wooden path, turn right and jump. It took me many tries but eventually did it.

Pretty much this!

Thanks guys!

Question about stats.

Are you folks choosing Bloodtinge or Arcane or leveling them both up equally?

My current stats:
Vit: 15
End: 17
Strength: 12
Skill: 12
Bloodtinge: 8
Arcane: 9

For my Military Vet Hunter, I'm going:

Vit>Str>End as Priority.

Skill I'll level up to 15 or so.

Not bothering with Blood or Arcane.

My EVENTUAL build will be:

MILITARY VET:

VIT: 50
END: 40
STR: 50
SKILL: 14
BLOOD: 15
ARCANE: 6

Straight up physical strength weapon build. I love smashing things with big, heavy weapons.

so i just beat the boss in the cathedral area, and have also defeated the boss after the gunman in the burning woods area,

seems like a dead end now, where do I need to go?

I get off on death

It's weekend time for me. I'm home and too intimidated to play bloodborne as I'm tired and need to relax.

Only souls games do this to me. Too stressful to kick back, chill and play.

ahah yeah, they're also the only games where i have to take like a 20 minutes break after a 1 hour session lol

TESNSE AS FUCK

I'm at the 4th boss... Which I don't think is the "normal" 4th boss,
it's the giant electric skeleton dog thing
, and it's kicking my ass, any tips?

What's the best place to grind blood vials and bullets? I know about the place at the checkpoint before CB and FG but is there something better? I just cleared 3rd boss and I didn't get a single bullet in that whole level, and only the ghosts sometimes had vials

Lol these hunter fights are getting more ridiculous.
Anyone have tips for the gank squad hunters in unseen village? I tried luring 1 but I hit him with a pebble and they all aggro'd.

I am 1/1 on both Cleric Beast and Father Casgoine but the Bloodstarved beast is kicking my ass.

My strategy was to approach him, bait a swing, and roll past him on the left. At least one of his attacks will leave him wide open and in good position for a 3 or 4 hit combo with a fast weapon.

If he does the long dash he'll be out of range but you'll be safe. Once he starts getting more frenzied you can continue this strategy but you'll need to be more vigilant about staying behind him as he does his combo.

The real issue is getting hit because that will sent you scrambling to use an antidote and a vial and part in the fight he can really keep the pressure on.

You might want some molotovs to close deal as his life dwindles, though they are both slow and inaccurate so maybe you just want to keep doing what you're doing if it's working.

Just get a ton of Echoes and buy some. might be faster than Farming but yeah Central Yharnam pretty much drops bullets and vials like clockwork

You're right, that one isn't the normal 4th one. It's optional AFAIK. But the best strat seems to be to aim for the legs to knock it down then go ham. I haven't done it yet and I've killed 6 bosses

Brick fatties and beast villagers are almost guaranteed drops I believe. Running from the Central Yarham lantern to the cemetery lantern should give you 10+ vials

The route toward the witch boss fight is excellent for farming Blood, the fat armored guys in that area drop plenty of blood each and there are 3 of them there.

Are you there because you were
captured
? That's a pretty
high level area that you're "supposed" to sneak out of.

This thread moves so fast, lol... finally got my ce yesterday, but now I have to wait for the week-end at best to actually start playing it: goddamn, reading all the impressions here makes the wait even more painful... :(
