He had like 100 hp left. The fucking Blood Starved Beast was almost dead and I blew it. One more try. I need more antidotes though, that last phase drained me.

Heading off to my university for class. Update on my progress

  • Beat first boss
  • Beat second boss
  • Leveled to 27, Vitality 20, Endurance 20
  • Fortified Cane to +3, equipped it with a gem
  • Found black church clothes

fucking got lightning mace hunter down to a sliver of health and then got shot in the back by another hunter

son of a bitch

Dude these guys are no joke. Stumbled into them last night and after 10 minutes of dancing around I finally got both of them down. They sometime just stand in one place if you back up enough so you can sort of kite them away from one another.

I rebuild my database pretty regularly (every couple months) as it seems to resolve minor hiccups and glitches with the OS, but that seems ridiculous that it would cut load times for one game by that much.

Where did you get this info?

Yeah, I thought it seemed a bit extreme too. Just another forum I frequent, a guy there said it had helped him.

Then again, different areas take different amounts of time to load so it might have been that. Just curious if anyone had seem an indirect benefit also.

it was fucked up because i never even saw the other dude and he didn't interfere until mace dude was almost dead

i thought it was a gltich at first

Leveled my Cleaver up to +4 or +5. Feels so good. Slaughtered through the area between the second and third (not beaten yet) boss and now off to exploring that forest area to the left. Now it feels more like a game about perfecting the dodge mechanic. More than ever dying is a consequence of me being way to heisty and inpatient. So, so good.

I thought helping people with BSB might be a good way to get insight and souls (since its a higher level boss) but everyone I help keeps dying lol.

Can anyone help me? Just after a bit of info.

How do I access
a chalice dungeon? I'm only upto father Gascoigne so wondered when I'm likely to come cross whatever is needed to unlock them?

I'm not sure if they unlock or I have to find something or whatever. Just want to try one out and I'm paranoid I may be missing something although like I said I'm still early in the game.

Not really a last phase, least didn't seem so to me. He does this howl where he covers himself in that shit for awhile, think you can run around and it wears off until he redoes the howl.

I avoided it cause I know it'd be a really good one to lose my health pots and antidotes to. The 4th boss much more easier to help people with.

Wear the church clothes set- they have high slow poison resistance. Beat the blood starved beast on my 2nd try with those and only got poisoned once from a nasty combo he landed on me.

Sorry if I missed it in this thread, but is Bloodborne worth buying a PS4 for? I am a huge souls fan, and I really want to play this game, but I can't see myself using a PS4 for anything else...

I would definitely do
Nightmare Frontier if you're working in Unseen Village.
It's about the right level if not a bit easier area.

*Item spoiler*
You get a Chalice after killing Amygdala

Also the
Nightmare Lecture Building
is an insanely easy place to quickly get around 14k souls per run to refill your health vial stock if you're running low. It took me about 10 minutes to almost max out my health vials. The load times for that area is actually quite low seeing as it's a small area so you can jump between there and Hunter's Dream pretty quickly.

Great, thank you.

Once I get Ludwig's Holy Blade, the arm cannon and the Yahargul armor set - my Guts build will be complete @_@

Can't wait

I need 30 STR for the cannon, tho (only at 12 right now)

I'd say yes. I'm a huge Souls fan and am goddamn in love with this. If you're into the series you're gonna wanna play this game. Feels like an instant classic.

And realistically you'll probably find something else to play on PS4 eventually
